Went here to have Sunday Dinner. The staff are very friendly. Large selection of food at a reasonable price. Being a vegetarian, plumped for the Nut Roast. They make the best I have ever tasted. When inquired was told that it is made by the owner herself, superb. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Disabled friendly car park, small step to enter premises. Would highly recommend
Went here for a Supercar meet for the first time yesterday, a lovely pub both inside and out, will definitely return for a meal soon! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere on the day :
Chicken Madras was very good, huge portion! My partner and I said you do the best chips we've ever had! A little cold where we where sat but 'tis an older building so probably just not well insulated. good food though & nice decor
We came here for Sunday lunch. Recommended by friends we thought we would give it try. We ordered our food we both had the lamb which didn't look or tasted like lamb. We told a waitress that you have given us pork instead of lamb. No she replied its definitely lamb and kept on insisting that it was. I kinda have to differ. We won't be visiting here again. And make things worse the food was pretty bad. Sorry
Truly delicious Sunday lunch, even late afternoon as that was our visit time. Excellent quality Palmers ale. Perfect service from a lovely local lady too. Full marks!
Saturday lunchtime meals from the daily menu - all very poor to average. Spoons or McDonald's would have been better quality. If we hadn't been with a valued guest a complaint would have been made and the defrosted / heater offering would have been rejected
Visited as a party of 10 for sunday lunch. Menu stated inform server of meat choice, then help yourself. This was wrong, was a plated roast and all of it was cold. Desserts were ordered, apple pies were made with tinned apples, waffles were like cardboard and cold. Coffees were luke warm. This was not at a busy time but 12 noon when the pub first opened. Will not be going here again.
Lovely Sunday lunch, food was excellent and the setting was great. Highly recommended
Nice selection of beers, reasonable menu, plenty of space & good outside seating during summer.
Great food, nice atmosphere and good staff.
