Calm, beautiful shop. Seems like a pretty deep dive into books about: travel; food/coffee; photographic narratives; typography; along with some fun/novel things mixed in, and I'm sure there are lots of other things on hand too. Also good for little gifts. Very nice staff/ownership. Coffee was good too! Happy with what I found, a little book and a nice print.

Only came across this store online as I was looking for a specific, US printed magazine and there it was! Reasonably priced, good selection of other books & mags covering art & culture so right up my street. Fast delivery and well packaged, would recommend and look forward to ordering from them again.
Ordered 'Business Secrets of the Pharaohs' on 17/12/23 on Royal Mail 24hr delivery. Has not arrived. No contact phone number listed so emailed to chase 20/12/23 as needed for Xmas gift but no reply whatsoever and it's now 23/12/23. Order just shows 'Processing'. Very poor communications.
I want to start by saying this is the best place I have ever done business with. I was desperately looking for a magazine that wasn't super popular, I searched all over the web until I came across Village. I saw that it was in the UK I'm in America but I really wanted the magazine so I didn't mind the wait time or fees. Not realizing my P.O Box address was undeliverable my magazine got shipped back. I was disappointed thinking they would refund me and I wouldn't get my magazine. To my surprise the customer service was one of the best I have ever dealt with with any company. They resent my magazine with the correct address, responded quick to ensure it would arrive back to me and it was packaged with the upmost care. To say I was pleased with the service would be an understatement. I was ecstatic with everything! I would recommend this shop to anyone without hesitation and I will surely be returning for future business. Thank you for all your hard work I can not thank you enough for all you have done for me!

Nice space with a great selection of magazines and periodicals. I finally found a magazine I've been hunting for ages! The person working there was also super helpful and even found some back issues for me. Highly recommend.
Stretching credulity to call this a bookshop, rather more a lifestyle product retail outlet. Obscure intellectual content with the real emphasis being on consumer capitalism. But if that's your kind of thing..... enjoy
Found the photography book I was looking for now out of print. Friendly communication, packaged well with speedy delivery. Excellent service and would certainly use again. Glad I found Village and would love to visit someday.
I could not be more pleased with this place! I wanted to place an order online for a publication which is quickly being sold-out everywhere. On top of that, I was looking for a specific cover. Ben at Village was super helpful in emailing me back quickly, arranging for me to purchase a specific cover online, and making it a seamless process! I'm entirely impressed. If I ever find myself in Leeds, I will be sure to stop by the brick and mortar shop, because if the staff are half as professional and courteous as they were through my online interaction, it will be a pleasure to shop there.
