"Traditional pub in the heart of West Runton, a seaside village on the North Norfolk Coast. Our large South facing beer garden is perfect to enjoy our large range of wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks. We pride ourselves on our well kept and often changing range of craft ales, lager, beer and stout. We serve fresh, good food that we can serve as quickly as possible and often feature local produce like crab on our menu."

Nice looking pub with large beer garden. Never ate there as the wait was always over ½hour. Pub nowhere near full. Went to the Thai round the corner spot on.
Stayed in West Runton for three nights, we always make a point of not visiting the small pub more than once, not here this pub has recently changed hands and the previous reviews weren’t great, we are so glad that we ignored them and gave it a chance. The new owners are doing a great job, super friendly pub, awesome staff, warm, friendly and welcoming. Just had our second evening in the pub, with two of the best meals I have ever eaten, the fish pie was amazing as was the skate wing, just booked for Sunday lunch too. Give them a visit you will not be disappointed
Lovely village pub dog friendly with a huge garden. Staff helpful. They do food and it looks lovely, hopefully eat there in the next couple of days as the menu looks good. They sell the usual lagers, beers and some local ones also. Lovely little village to walk around and close to hillside horse sanctuary
Great place the food was very good had the fish & chips, seafood linguine excellent & well presented. Lots of satisfied customers that was obvious from the praise given from the surrounding tables New tenants I think, thoroughly deserve support. Excellent service. Dog friendly as well!
I went here with my family on Wednesday lunchtime. We ordered from the daily specials and the menu and everyone said the food was absolutely delicious with generous portion sizes. I ordered the pork tomahawk special and it had a wonderful flavour! We'll definitely be back!
Stopped for a pint. Lovely large beer garden, nice craft beer which was refreshing after a long walk. Friendly staff and served quickly Toliets were clean.
Had a half of Woodforde Wherry and a Chilli Con Carne. Really tasty and excellent whilst walking around the area and coastal path. Highly recommend
Great new owners and fantastic food, all those previous people who didn't enjoy this pub before needs to revisit. The staff are great as well. Only visiting but we will be back.
Please note this review is based on treating The Village Inn as a pub, not a restaurant! Unfortunately average if you're looking for a pub. This isn't one. Hoping the new owners would improve it they couldn't really fail, as it was awful before but they've just turned it into a restaurant that happens to serve alcohol. If the weather is bad and you can't sit outside there are now no tables inside where you can just sit and have a pint, they're all set out for food service. I understand this is where the money is now but it is depressing that yet again there is another 'pub' that puts the quality of keeping beer second behind food. Tried a pint of the Lacons Legacy and it was definitely not fresh. Stale and off. Tried the Golden Jackal and it was watery and nothing like it should be. Why can't someone who works in a pub actually know what the beers should taste like! Food was alright/good but very overpriced for what it was. £13 for ham, egg and chips....? Hmmmm! On the plus side the pie that was special of the day was very good. Just not sure the campsite massive that will mostly frequent the place are too worried about artisan pies and artisan prices. It's also worrying they have retained one of the very unwelcoming / miserable barmaids from the previous setup. It shows the current owners don't understand what some of the problem was with the place before they took over and are just sleepwalking into the same old for themselves.
Had Sunday lunch here on Easter Sunday. Dinner was nice but would have to say that Sunday lunch at The Red Hart, Bodham owned by the same people was so much better. The Village Inn had so many bookings for lunch and perhaps this accounted for dinner not being as good as we expected. No complaints about the food - we ate it all but will stick with The Red Hart in future.
