Stayed here with friends last year and came again this year. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Food is excellent - pork belly, steak, sea bass all got rave reviews from us. All the staff are friendly and efficient. Shout out for Gracie at breakfast. A short walk to the beach at Overstrand and within easy reach of the beautiful North Norfolk coast and to see the seals at Horsey Gap. Will definitely be back.
Our stay was amazing. Beautiful dog friendly hidden gem. The staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had an evening meal, which was excellent. The breakfast was fabulous, a lot of choice inc a big breakfast. The room was beautiful. Nice big bed. The attention to detail & comfort was exceptional in room extra blankets, hair dryer, hot chocolate, fruit teas as well at regular tea & coffee, biscuits & toiletries Our two dogs were very settled sometimes staying in a pub can be quite noisy. We liked it so much we are looking at booking again, very soon. Rooms: Very clean. Well stocked tea & coffee making facilities. Food & drinks: The menu is exceptional. A good selection to choose from. They had really ale on tap & lots of gin to choose from. Noteworthy details: The staff are so friendly. It was like home from home with waiter service. Dog friendly
My partner and I have been here before just for a lunchtime sandwich and it was excellent. This time we decided to have fish two different courses, crab fish cake and sea bass and it was excellent again!, and a barman who knows how to pour a pint of Guinness, finishing off with a delicious Irish coffee. The staff were all polite and friendly and the meal and drinks were faultless , nice pleasant atmosphere 5 star plus!
Our stay was only overnight , but we have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. Our room was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. We had our evening meal there too which was delicious. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with great choices. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. We will be back again soon. Thank you.
Stayed here for 1 night. Service was friendly upon arrival and checking out. We ate at the resteraunt, food was good but disappointing that on a relatively small menu a couple of mains and a dessert were unavailable, service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant does have a canteen feel which was worse at breakfast when there was no music on. The room was fine, with a shower and bath and comfy bed. Noise does travel up from the pub below. Breakfast was tasty, but a small menu with no veggie/vegan options. Overall an enjoyable night away, a short stroll from the beach surrounded by lots of nice walks and things to do!
Stayed for one night on a business trip. Very pleasant building in a quiet location just outside Cromer There was a friendly welcome on check in and my luggage carried to my room. Simple but nice furnishing, room clean. Small TV, comfortable double bed with nice bedding and pillows Small shower room, toilet and sink. No phone signal. WiFi was adequate. Room was very warm but the windows were easy to open. Quite a bit of noise from other bedrooms when toilets were used. Evening menu was exceptional. A decent night's sleep, followed by a refreshing shower and a great breakfast to start the day. This is a lovely place and obviously very popular in the holiday season. Rooms: My room was clean and nicely furnished. Comfortable bed Great shower Not much desk space for business travelers Food & drinks: Exceptional food. Great quality beautifully cooked and presented. Nice to see local fish including Cromer crab on the menu
I had a Norfolk dapple sandwich. It was served with fresh, quality bread, chips, and salad garnish. The staff were helpful. Dogs are welcome. Best to book.
