Service was excellent. We had an issue which was my fault and was resolved straight away. The lady who looked after us did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had drinks only and breakfast was excellent. Really good value for money. We didn't use the swimming facilities.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed twice here and both times we had a brill experience. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. We were also gifted an additional voucher to spend on food and drinks. Additional mention to Max a lovely lady in the bar who made our stay a 10 out of 10 by going the extra mile.
Perfect hotel for a mid week work break. Pool and gym here are better than any hotels I’ve stayed at and better than most health clubs can offer. Like the V Works space as offers a few options for working and having meetings. Was able to check in early too which really helped me out so overall a big thumbs up!
Decent rooms, comfy beds, ensuite although had new fixtures but was not great as the water was overflowing outside from shower tray. The plywood on doors frame was peeling and the hinges were rusty. There are no aircon but a Dyson fan is provided so it's fine. Breakfast was really good.Rooms: 4/5
Nice hotel, rooms are very spacious, however they are extremely warm which made it difficult to sleep. There are Dyson fans in the room which I think are to try to tackle the issue of warm rooms. The pool area is fantastic, the pool itself is very big when compared to other Village hotels.
Poorly maintained, indifferent staff and feral guests. Our room seemed to have electrical problems as most of the lights didn't work. The receptionist was unable to move us and promised they would be fixed the next day. They never were, so we navigated the room at night with phone torches. This revealed an unidentifiable brown liquid stain on the carpet, a mixture of pink and black moulds in the bathroom, cracked and uneven tiles and chipped/cracked fixtures and fittings. Sleep was disrupted by feral children running laps of the hotel corridors shouting after midnight, then drunk guests trying to find their rooms. Breakfast was ok but not well replenished. As it was a weekend we had the "bonus" of free parking, but I can't believe they have the brass neck to charge paying customers to park at the hotel on weekdays, bearing in mind this is on an out of town office/industrial park not in the town centre. Staff were generally indifferent and obviously fed up of dealing with a string of complaints from unhappy guests we heard several other complaints about noise and poor service. This was my first stay at a Village Hotel and it will certainly be my last!
4 week stayThe room was fantastic I stayed in 4 different rooms over 4 weeks. The staff were brilliant the only thing that let the Village down was, the menu the food wasn't bad but it was massively over priced, and so were the drinks ! But if you walk across the road there's a pub there, with a brilliant menu and a carvery, and it's have the price and better quality. If you stay at the Village hotel bury, you can't go wrong if you just use the other pub to dine.
I’ve been a member here for a number of years. Yesterday I was swimming when a full fire evacuation was announced. Julie Davenport and Jack Eaton took charge and to move people from the pool to an area of safety. I want to thank both these members of staff, and Tyler, team leader for there prompt, professional actions. As a client I felt totally safe and cared for by these members of staff. Having to get out of the pool wet and move to the back of the car park was not a pleasant experience but the staff managed this situation with professionalism with total respect for the people they were overseeing. Thank you again to Julie,Jack, Tyler and Dominique. Safety: I’m a member of the gym.
Visited for work meetings and we were looked after by Claire- excellent service very attentive and the meeting rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable with lots of refreshments on hand. Ideal location and easy to find. Will definitely book again.Service: 5/5
The hotel was great, rooms where neat and tidy with teas and coffees available in the rooms. Bathrooms where modern and clean with my room only having a shower. The in reception is automated not my personal favourite but they do have a staff member at the desk. Meals are available at the on site restraunt and overall I was pleasantly surprised. There is a gym and pool on site and appears to be very popular. There is a large managed parking area to accommodate the guests and visitors. Recommended.
