Decent chippy, chips are fine, not soggy and I always ask for haddock or sole so it's done fresh. Can't complain. Staff friendly.
Such a poor chippy. Slow service. Chips rock hard, peas rock hard and gravy non existent. Expensive for what you get. 1st time here and i live in BX. Ill stick to my usual chippy on belmont road!
Very poor. Not my first time at this place but definitely the last. Soggy chips, rock-hard peas and fish that had definitely seen better days.
Chippy advertised as opening until 7 pm - husband just drove to find it shut at 6.30 - disappointing
Purchased Fish and Chips from here on 5th June . Dreadful meal. Fish did not taste fresh . I could not eat mine. When my husband phoned the shop to relate our experience the owner said that it had been a quiet week and the next time we visited the shop to ask for a "lightly battered fish " . What this had to do with the poor quality food that he had served us i have no idea .We will not be using The Village Chippy again.
Good quality food but service painfully slow and people who bulk order ahead are allowed to queue jump which seems extremely unfair and most frustrating.

Great chippy, always been awesome for years, sometimes the sausage can be a bit naff sometimes but generally doesn't effect the experience. Keep in mind though it's cash only.
Awful. Was told it was fresh out the frier but it was far from it, could’ve been yesterday’s. Very dry fish and doughy batter, I gave one star for the mushy peas and curry sauce alone. 5 years away and no improvement.
Gone downhill.chips mostly.hard ends.used to be good
