Great bakery, great service too. Not sure why others felt they needed to say rude service!? We bought very tasty caramel slice, pork pie and the last four scotch pies. Very tasty.
Called in and it looked nice. I said to the lady morning but she said what do you want.i replied good morning and nothing. I bought some pea/ham soup.. it were like drinking liquid.. i have had thicker soup from school dinners back in the days.. pasties were very nice very clean aswell but that lady has a disgusting attitude.. As I local came in she were very friendly.. I take it there don't like outsiders even though I live here now. Like I said the scans backers were very nice but manners cost nothing.. I will not return.
Good cheese scone but incredibly rude woman serving. Reading the reviews it seems to be a common complaint. A real shame. Won't be stopping again.

bought a cheese and tomato sandwich. Wasn't impressed at all for the price. Small bun, both the cut skin ends of the tomatoes further spoilt with margarine. That's stuff should be banned. I ate the cheese.
Best lemon cake I’ve had after my mums of course. So pleased we found this little gem. Traditional local understated bakery where the quality of the goods on offer speak for themselves. Absolutely delicious and we will make a bee line on our next visit to Northumberland.
This bakeries products are beautiful but the woman who served us was very rude! She made us feel like we were in the way by buying her products. We left feeling so disappointed with her manner. If she keeps being like that with people they will stop visiting her bakery. Such a shame!
We have been using this bakery for 30 years and in all that time we have never found better pies and pasties. Sometimes we travel from the Newcastle area just for the tasty products.
Came here for Breakfast whilst on holiday. Amazing bakery, everything we ordered was delicious, warm and well priced. Cheese and onion slice was maybe the best I ever had. 10/10
Lovely bakery but let down by an incredibly rude lady who works there. We have visited a few times but will not be returning to be treated like we are an irritant.
