One of the finest parks I have seen in UK. Spacious, fantastic place to walk close to the beautiful River Torridge, got plenty of space for parking. Long stay car park next to the park has excellent parking rates if you want to stay here for long. Park has awesome rides for kids, lots of area to play in the sand. To top it off, they have got a really nice gym in the park as well for fitness!! Bravo!!
Such a beautiful park. I visited for the first time on Friday and the autumn colours are especially pretty at the moment. I loved the tulip tree and large oak tree grown from an acorn by school youngsters in 1905. The war memorial was also lovely. Well worth a visit though there is one area which needs drainage work done otherwise an immaculate and gorgeous pleasure garden.
Lovely park for picnics, walking ,enjoying the pool, flowers and near the town and river. Good day out.
Great park to visit with your children. The splash part is brilliant so be sure to bring towels, however over the years the normal wooden play area has not aged well. When the park gets repaired I will return to give 5stars.
Quite a nice place to visit. Pretty park with a coffee shop and clean public toilets. The play areas are for a wide age range. Surprised to see a large sand pit. Right next door to a car park. Definitely worth a visit.
Really lovely park. Plenty of space for games and exercise. There are 2 play areas and a paddling pool for the kids and a café at the pool and the near by art museum. A recommended place to visit if you are in Bideford.
Cafe food/drink quality is superb. Paddling pool was good fun for our toddler, the elder one enjoyed the playpark & open area.
Fantastic park, extremely well kept and perfect for children and adults alike! Has a shallow outdoor pool for the kids which is again well kept and a safe area for the children to play, inflatables optional ; there are lots of trees to retreat from the sun and lots of well kept flower beds if that's your thing. Usually find a hockings ice cream van here and sometimes other food vendors. Large park with a museum/gallery/cafe/shop.
Lovely to see it in use by so many, the pool enjoyed by lots of families and others sitting under trees in the shade as such a hot day. The park was tidy and had lots of colour. We enjoyed the cafe du park sitting outside under the shade of the building.
Plenty of sunny spots on picnic benches or shaded areas with benches to enjoy a rest or a picnic. Large grassed areas so good for kids and pets alike. Lots of plants and trees; generally very beautiful. During the summer there’s a fair on for some amusements and hot food/drink offerings. Some adventure play areas for kids of varying ages, a childrens paddling pool and an open sandpit. Lots of parking at a reasonable price, small toilet block that was just ok, a bit scruffy. Ideal stop off or dinner spot when walking in and out of Bideford
