It’s a bus station but also doubles up a toilet and place to get abuse from a homeless person
Layout is fine but there are no vending machines, there's only one toilet which is outside that you have to pay for and the station looks as though it's still under construction with its unpainted redone ceiling that had screws sticking out. All looks a bit sad and run down
On 12 October 2023 around 9.15 in the morning, I lost my way and was following the signboards which led me to the office in Victoria Station, Nottingham city center. Unfortunately, that was not the right way, and the lady in the office called me and asked why I was there, I didn't know how to read the signboards and should learn to read the signboards in a very rude and patronizing way. There were two other ladies in the office too. This has to be taken seriously and staff should be trained to answer the customers with respect. Staff are recruited to guide the customers, signboards don't get paid.
It's joined on to Victoria Center so from getting off the bus you are only a couple of minutes from the shops. Plenty of food vendors and also Next, John Lewis and House of Fraser. Tesco being the only supermarket, and sadly the indoor Market is all but closed. There are bus routes that go as far out as Chesterfield and express buses to Derby that run every 10 minutes. The City centre is about a 5 minute walk. There is also parking but as you know it will cost you more than a few pennies.
Bus station has about 12 bays I think, there's a toilet outside, not sure if you have to pay to use it though. It has a visitors centre and 3 entrances not including from the buses themselves. Attached to the car park and only a few steps away from Victoria centre. Always pretty clean, however there is some construction going on at the time of writing this.
