Really nice station, with beautiful frontage. Great connections to the other parts of the city via tram. Decent amount of food and drink options on the concourse, and clean toilets.
Easy to get to, modern feel. Toilets on the way to Tram. Very easy follow Way Out, exit the ticket check point. Toilets poorly signed, head left before picking up signs again. I continued to Phoenix park. Had to get a ticket from machine. See photos, then up one escalator and tram platform. Very practical and swanky modern feel. Roomy tram system itself, runs smoothly.
Been there for a day tour. Beautiful city has a beautiful rail station. So neat n shinny. Love the building architecture so detailed brick work. Big & busy station offering services for other cities. This was a fabulous station to both arrive and depart at, having well-sized platforms for the trains. The stylization is very nice and there are many platforms, though finding your way around is easy due to the signs. A beautiful glass roof is enforced heavily and there are departure boards to make sure nobody misses any train, also the station had cleanliness maintained when I visited!
Staff are amazing and always helpful. East Midlands Trains first class lounge is small and very basic but has air conditioning so always nice and cool in the hot weather Staff in the lounge are always friendly and helpful just a shame the whole first class product from EMT has gone down hill a lot!
