went last week [again]. superb products at this bakery. the cheese and marmite bread is amazing, but there again so was everything else we bought. you must visit this shop.

Bread LOOKS and smells absolutely amazing...but sadly the actual eating did not live up to expectations when I visited. Bought a sourdough boule which looked 'rustic' but was sadly not baked inside and a baguette which was VERY dense and chewy, and not light and aerated as I hoped. I don't want to do the place down as I love what they're aiming for, but it's worth noting? Happy to amend this review if things change. I won't be put off visiting again - I'll be drawn in!

The best bread in York, sells out very quickly so go early

Superb award winning bread shop and bakery, but get there early as once all the tasty bread is sold, the baker closes the shop. From focaccias to olive bread - pure perfection!
