At first I fount this practice to be full of caring people only to find out that the lovely caring people turned out to be smiling assassins only interested in ££££££ at the cost of your pets pain and discomfort. My 11 year old retriever had a swollen abdomin no other symptoms, practice owner suggested an ultrasound, said it was more accurate than an ex ray, the cost would be £643.57 after he was given an ultrasound, bloods, urine and and fluids, they found a mass, his organs were good and had a healthy heart, cancer was mentioned on a few occasions, had to wait on his blood and fluid results to see if that would tell us more about his condition and surprisingly the bill had jumped up to £968.11, without consulting me of the extra costs, is this because he is insured???? She immediately advised sending him to a specialist of her choice for an EX RAY cost would be around £3000.00, few days passed we decided against putting him through anymore discomfort and cancelled the appointment until we received his blood and fluid results, The blood results were back spoke to Sam still no further forward to his condition, I informed her that I had cancelled the specialists appointment until we received the rest of his results, she was not happy at all stating that she would not have done this and would have sent her dogs, I was taken aback at her comment, she made me feel like a terrible pet owner and mentioned that his health would deteriorate quick if not treated, I thought she didnt know what his condition was?, Whilst waiting on his results I found out the vet practice and the specialists were linked??? Two weeks passed received the fluid results, NO cancer cells found and no outcome to his condition, I asked to be referred to a specialist that had been recommended to me. At my consultation with the specialists it was all heart related, they carried out the procedure resulting in a fluid sac round his heart I THOUGHT HE HAD A STRONG HEALTHY HEART, I researched his condition, it is very common in the breed and the tell tale signs were there in which should have been picked up on taking his breed into consideration and instead of putting my boy through all this, a stethoscope would have shown a muffled heart along with blood and urine sample would have been sufficient for his diagnosis. I actually dread to think what he would have went through had I not looked into this and put my trust in them as it was mentioned about cutting him open at one point, retrievers have a life span 10-12, he is 11 how actual far would they have gone at the pain of my boy to make money. Is this people you want to look after your pets. If you have taken time to read this, thank you. We brought our boy home, we did not put him through anymore pain and discomfort and will monitor him until he tells us he's had enough. Sam don't even try to justify your actions, this is gross misconduct, your practice has been reported and you should be ashamed to wear the coat. Without prejudice.........
Unfortunately, I encountered some difficulties with Vets4pets and their pet plan. Despite being promised a return call, I never received one. The staff is quite pleasant when interacting with the dogs. However, the administration department appears to be inefficient in handling issues.
Every one of the staff at vets 4 pets Falkirk, I want to say thank you. I have 12 dogs all under the care of the V4P team and the service, consideration and love each of my dogs receive upon every visit is astounding. There’s been some tricky times over the years with some of my furry babies from scary C-sections to meningitis diagnosis no job has proved too big or difficult. It’s so lovely to have vets that not only treat and care for your animal like it’s their own child, but to fully support you through the process sometimes even being a shoulder to cry on in the most difficult situations. I cannot praise the team enough, and to Sam in particular you truly are wonderful and an absolute credit to the company. I couldn’t recommend this practice any more, no matter what your pets issue, this team will help you and hold your hand through the good and the bad. I’m forever grateful for your support with our babies. Thank you
I attended the practice on a Sunday morning with our old boy Alfie who had collapsed earlier. Although we didn’t have an appointment Alfie was fitted in between appointments and within 15 minutes which was fantastic. The lovely vet Fiona explained everything to us and was so nice to Alfie. The things that are important to us pet owners is a vet who is not only good at their job but cares about our precious pets Like they were their own.
My partner and I took our pets Dooby and Clarita last Saturday for a general check and we left felling grateful we found a wonderful vet in Falkirk, Dorota did an amazing job, explaining everything well and letting know about all the possible treatments. Thanks
Great opening hours and a really convenient location. We're still new to the practice but first impressions are good!
Staff are all very friendly and helpful, you can see they all love the animals which makes a difference for me. Our wee Enzo has visited probably more often than we'd like but he's very happy to visit to get all the attention. Wouldn't use another vet. Anyone with any doubts just need to glance at the plethora of thank you messages
Sunday open, im get in touch, because my cat needs an emergency service, or Vets who can help. My cat have a different Vet's they're can't help for me. After taking him to Edinburgh 50mins drive, they help / it's not about the money, i paid the other Vet's ,but they helped for saving my cat life/Thanks
Came here in the start of February with my cat Bella, sadly we had to get her put down, but the staff could not have been nicer and more pleasant. They gave us little memories of her when i collected her ashes, broke my heart but beautifully done. We now bring my other cat Stella here quite regularly and they tend to every need she has. The staff are amazing, and always on top standard.
The staff was polite, very helpful as it was an emergency visit. They took care my cat and they explained clearly everything to me. They helped me to understand what my health plan covers. There was an available appointment the same day which was brilliant as we are in the middle of Christmas and New Year holidays. And finally my pet is better and I am more relaxed after the visit.
