Customer service very poor party of 4. 3 full English & 1 breakfast including poached eggs on smoked salmon the eggs solid asked for them to be replaced 20 minutes later after everyone else had finished their breakfast they arrived no apology & still hard. Nice deco.
this little cafe is just right for this village there are a few but the views from outside are wonderful it's quite spacious inside. great service. quick. we went for lunch which was prefect as we only had 1 hour and half for parking later to find around to corner was 4hours nevermind food was lovely. how slighty pricey but I felt it was worth it xx
My partner and I ate here about a week ago for lunch... Beautiful location and the service and food were exceptional. We have now taken our kids earlier today and again the food and service were exceptional. For lunch these were large portions meaning again we were unable to try the beautiful looking cakes. Both of us can not fault this place thus far and living 30 - 40 mins drive away we would travel here just to eat instead of going somewhere closer to home.
My Husband, myself and our Daughter popped into this ideally situated restaurant. Nice decor, but that's about the only nice thing to say about this place! Not particularly welcoming, staff seemed unhappy, and not particularly communicative! The staff were constantly on their mobile phones, may as well of had robots running the place. There was certainly an atmosphere between staff. No real effort was made to speak to customers. Never have we experienced such poor. service. A real shame.
We've been going here for many years now. There's nothing negative to say apart from its not changed in years, menu and decor are still the same. It's a bit dated now. You could argue that's the charm, but in the quieter months when there's so many other places to choose from it may be time to have a tasteful face lift. That said the food and service are great. The breakfasts are filling, sandwiches are well presented. Kids favourites of nugget and chips can't be beaten
We decided to stop here today for lunch and sat outside, as my husband was using his mobility scooter. The girl on the till was friendly, despite the fact that it was a very busy moment, being Mothers Day. Afterwards, when we realised how chilly it was, I asked whether we could sit inside. A table was free so no problem. Lunch, though just a sandwich was excellent, as was the service. Thankyou for making it such a lovely visit!
Delightful restaurant...we were spoilt & well looked after. Staff were so courteous & helpful. I also commended them in choosing paper straws....yay ! Well done. However, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I was offered by polystyrene take away container...no !!!!! This takes longer than plastic to break down.....please don't buy anymore.
Absolutely terrible; we pre-ordered our meals and they managed to mess it up to the point where we told them to take it away and just serve us a drink. Sadly they weren't competent to tell the difference between 7up and sparkling water. Lastly their so called award winning ice cream was nothing more than slightly sweetened and frozen butter. An experience I, sadly, won't soon forget.
The scone was very dry, the service struggled to cope with Sunday traffic. We sat a table outside and the staff took a while to clear the previous customer's order. The black americano coffee was good though.
99% sure the doughnuts are bought from Tesco or Sainsbury’s and heated in microwave. They went chewy and nasty. Sausage bap - the bap was either toasted or stale, falling apart horribly. Tea was poor, milkshake small, rushed service...group of 12 walked in looking for a table met with ‘no chance’. Hospitality clearly wasn’t this waiters calling.
