Met for lunch for a family birthday. We all had three courses and all the food was great. My favourite dish was the prawn cocktail starter. Good selection of drinks and coffee. Dog friendly. Service was a bit slow but when they did come they were friendly, and we were even serenaded with happy birthday!Recommended dishesSlow Cooking Lamb Shank
Great restaurant. Busy place even on a rainy day. Staff was great. I had something simple from the menu. It came out quickly and the presentation was also very good. Prices were also fairly reasonable for a touristy town. I would recommend this place, just walking past demonstrates how great it is.
Food was very good and lovely outside seating area. They were accommodating even though I did not have a reservation. Staff was friendly. Felt that other tables were checked in a little more than I was— I ordered a drink that I never got and when my meal came out I thought the server said she was bringing me a knife that I never received. Overall, would recommend.
We had a lovely meal here. Quality was fantastic and the staff were fun, enthusiastic and friendly. Absolutely will be back when in the area. Thank you to the chap looking after us for giving me the bigger fork to share desert with my husband
Enjoyed lunch at an outside table. Service was prompt and with smiles all around. The food was excellent. The ambience on a sunny day was priceless. The Rhubarb Cider from the crafty pig cider house lived up to the server’s recommendation.
My wife and I ate there yesterday evening and we have to say what a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive and not overbearing like some places. Note to management please don't chivvy along staff when the customer is paying their bill it ends in reduced gratuities
The flavour was good, the people were nice and the admosphere was lovely the view on over the little creek was adorable. But we asked for an item twice for it to be forgotten, rather small portions and waited for a relatively long time to be served deserts. But it was a busy night so it is understandable. For that reason 4 stars
This place was the perfect setting for a cozy romantic dinner with my wife. It was recommended to us by our host at the New Old Inn. The food was excellent, I especially enjoyed the brie & caramelized onion tart, vegetable lasagna and sticky toffee pudding. The service was excellent. Sonia our waitress was very attentive.
We had a quick stop for lunch here and it could not have been better! Such a friendly team , fabulous food and well priced in such a great location. The dog was welcome too! I'd love to go back for a nice evening meal!Food: 5/5
Came here to view the area. Well worth a visit. The restaurant was a disappointment. Chairs had pigeon poo all over them and ordered a steak and kidney pie £15. Came with ready made mash potatoe , which you don't expect at that price and the steak in the pie was tough and undercooked. Very reasonable but could do with improving the food
