Attractive gardens on a lovely corner of the Island. Perhaps visiting in early spring was not fair as some work was in progress prior to the summer. Some areas were not fully finished and of course the flowers were not in bloom. Staff friendly, ample parking and a decent coffee room.

Even though we went in April when barely any of the flowers were blooming it was still a great experience. It was fun exploring the different sections and walkways that they have. I will have to go back in summer.

Very expensive entrance fee. Gardens untidy not a single Gardner in sight. Not a single dog poo bin in sight. Not a single bin in sight. Restaurant shut but tables uncleared. The logos on the trees illegible. Uncared for. Overgrown. Really worst visit.

I bought membership to Ventnor Botanic Gardens and quite honestly it's the self gift that just keeps giving! It changes all year round and there's something lovely about seeing a riot of flowers in mid October. Little one loves it there and we pack books to read whilst we adventure round. It's great for picnics, wildlife (red squirrels and wall lizards) not so wild-life (terrapins and fish in the fishpond) and even has a kids playground tucked away at the bottom. It's also right by the sea which is great on a hot day and they hold various events throughout the year. Personally I love it here and it's well worth a visit

Visited in winter which was still impressive but will come back in summer as we can see the gardens will be very special. semi tropical plants are grown here outdoors due to the warmer microclimate the gardens experience.
