Nice fish and chip shop.nnTable service in the restaurant part.nnFood piping hot, and very tasty. My only issue, I managed to get a large number of chips that had bad black bits in them, bits of eyes.
My wife and I have been in a good few times lately and must say the meals we’ve had have been very good value for the money best chip shop in the Lanarkshire area by far
Quite nice fish and chips take out, fish good quality, batter fine. Mushy peas could have been a lot tastier. Not bad for price but room for improvement. Visiting within the area so doubt we would return.
Apparently staff had put normal fish tea in fryer . We could wait a few minutes for jumbo . Or they would reduce the bill to normal fish tea . We decided to wait on Jumbo .nWhen it arrived it appeared normal size , had broken in half, was dry and overcooked . The waiter assured us it was a jumbo . Couldn't eat it and requested money back . The staff were apologetic and refunded money. Very disappointed
I will keep this short LolnAs we walked in , What looked back at us through the draining window was what i can only describe as Articles raked out from the bottom of a Bonfire , Absolutely charred , was like a game of guess the contents , Staff were young , Not there fault , Chief fryer to blame here , i Felt commited at this point Staff not been showed what constitutes Chip amounts in a Supper , Chose the Rib , A cold thin Burnt greasy cobble stone is how i would describe it , Seasoned with 5 grains of salt and 3 drops of vinegar .nWhen Paying top dollar for Chip shop food the customer should recieve something that resembles edible food , Charged extra for stabby wooden thing , Fryer please get your frying times rite or sack yourself , Again not youg staffs fault here , Chewing on 10 pound coins would have caused less damage , Which is what this effort cost me , Elsewhere in future is what ive Learned
