Went again yesterday and had an excellent meal with so much succulent chicken in my sauce it was amazing. The Haliari my friend had was a little too hot for her but the staff did bring some creamy yoghurt to try to reduce the heat.
The restaurant was busy when we arrived and were glad we'd made a reservation. We received a warm welcome and were soon shown to our table and were offered poppadoms and accompaniments.nWe ordered a bottle of merlot, very good and went well with our food. We ordered Tandoori smoked duck and onion bhajis to start, followed by molee lamb and goanese chicken curry, with mushroom and coconut rice. All courses were well presented by the friendly waiting staff and were delicious.nThanks to Chetan and Ankita for looking after us so well!
A lovely and delicious restaurant. The service and presentation were excellent. The portions of the food are also really good. Wanted to try something new, and we had the chicken Goan curry and butter chicken curry, which was creamy and spicy for the former. Both were delicious and did not disappoint. I will definitely be going again!
It's a nice enough place - the tacky soft furnishing walls and doors are not what you want. Also who has white table cloths in an Indian restaurant! All black and gold furnishings except one beige tacky wall and the white tablecloths. Food is good but not £20 + each good.
Been twice recently with two different experiences. Really nice venue and a great menu. The service on the first occasion was rushed and a little brusque. Most of the food was ok but the onion rice was not what I expected. The onions were raw and they made the rice very watery and a little unpleasant. The second time the service was better and the food was better. The tandoori mixed grill was very generous but perhaps the chicken was even too dry by tandoori standards. Great venue but not the best Indian in the area in my opinion.
