Went to the fish room downstairs today to get some small shrimp for my cold water tank! The guy gave me fantastic advice, great service and he was all round really knowledgable! Shrimp are happily in the tank with my danios now! Thanks so much!
Took my daughters for the first time. They loved seeing all the animals. As a shop it was clean and well maintained, the animals all looked happy and well cared for. We were buying some fish for a new tank from the excellent selection they had. We planned for neon tetras so we bought some of those, but I’m very tempted to set up a tank for a betta as they had some beautiful ones in there. Staff were knowledgable and really friendly while allowing people space to look around. We loved our trip and our tetras have settled into their new home extremely well.
They have all the stuff you would need that are very useful. However I wish the staff would be a bit more friendlier and helpful also have more of a sense of humour, especially the big guy with the beard. Whenever I go in to get some stuff for my pet I always feel unwelcome like they want me to go away and whenever I ask for suggestions they always give us brief information and walk away.
I've been in the process of getting my first reptile for a while now - slowly saving and getting everything I need for a good, solid bioactive setup before I get myself a crestie. This place has been a lifeline, and everyone who works here is a legend! I went up to the counter and said "I think I'm in dire need of help" and lo and behold, they got me everything I needed and then some. All the staff are really nice, they know their stuff, and they have anything you could possibly need. The animals all seem super happy and well looked after. I'll be shopping here for a long time to come!
Really sad to see all the hamsters kept in such poor conditions. Many of the hamsters were showing signs of stress pacing, bar chewing and had very little in their small cages to keep them occupied. Every single cage they sell is below the minimum requirements for a hamster 100x50cm and all of the wheels are too small, so the hamsters are running with arched instead of straight backs. Please don't purchase animals from this shop - like so many other pet shops, they are sadly just profiting from animals, not providing appropriate care and getting away with cramming as many animals as they can into a small space to maximise profit.
Got a snake from here but I think she was abit poorly and sadly passed away. Rang up and explained everything and Craig was more than helpful and arranged for us to go and get another snake. I now have one happy little snake who is feeding great and extremely active. Thank you so much Craig. All the guys who work here are extremely helpful. Thanks team
Absolutely brilliant place especially if you are interested in exotic animals. I asked if I was ok to take pictures out of personal interest but also out of courtesy and they were more than happy for me to do so. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about all the different animals they sell and are always willing to help out or offer any advise needed. They sell a wide variety of animals ranging from fish, hamsters, rabbits all the way through to turtles, snakes and lizards
Brilliant pet shop. Staff where amazing, knowledgeable and super friendly. More than happy to show you the animals close up on request. The bird section was quite vast and had everything I could imagine you would need. We love our new canarys
Here’s the Lad finally picking up his birthday present! This year he really wanted a Leopard Gecko, so we said we wouldn’t get him one unless he did his research so he knew how to look after it, and to his credit, he did just that! Urban Jungle were fantastic! It’s only a small, family-run business but we always feel that there the places that go the extra mile with the customers. They gave us a lot of advice when it came to setting up our vivarium, and again via telephone when I couldn’t remember it all When we finally had everything ready, they were super patient and helpful with Arthur, making sure we had all bits ready to take the little fella home! He chose a Super Mack Snow Morph Leopard Gecko and he has named him Laszlo after Matt Berry’s character in ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ TV series
Urban Jungle is great! I've been going for a few years, and it's been even better since expanding their fish aquarium downstairs. There are plenty of fish to choose from, and the staff are friendly and always willing to help. I will usually ring ahead to check if they have certain stock in, or certain types of fish, and they are always willing to help me out, or I've dropped them a message on their facebook page. I never use upstairs, but they have loads of things up there, including baby tortoises which are really cool. I'd recommend to anyone.
