It would get more stars except for the fact that the piano is the first thing you walk into when you get upstairs. They moved it a few weeks ago and it now takes up a huge space where a load of people used to be able to stand. As a direct result it's more cramped around the bar area. The second thing is the manager there has an attitude that simply doesn't work in that environment. He seems to look for any reason to throw people out rather than entice them to stay. I've seen him randomly walk up to people to "have a word" for no reason at all. I've also seen him get people thrown out for no particular reason. Despite him and the piano, it actually gets a good crown in there!

Extremely rude and aggressive bar manager. Was storming around the bar pushing past people. Picked an arguement with someone knocking several of us out the way and ripping my bag in the process. He came back past a little while after and I said to him that that he had ripped my bag and hurt several people, he responded by screaming at me about an inch from my face and storming off. The door staff were great however, and even said that he 'was a nutter and you don't want to get in his way'. Totally unacceptable for a bar manager to behave like that. Shame because it could be a nice venue if run well.

Good music, nice venue, service can be a little slow if lots having cocktails as they take a while to make
