The male staff was rude came here 3 times, there are one male and one female staff. The female staff was OK -not as friendly as any people I meet in the UK thus far, but it is still Ok. But the male, oh my, threw my parcel from Amazon as I collected it. I agree with the reviews: It costs nothing to be kind and friendly to people. Why it seems so hard for him? I hope the post office management read through this reviews and decide to make fair appraisal to their staffs: We don't wrote negative comments if we didn't really experience them.
The letter size was perfect for 85p stamp as I’ve been using it for at least three times previously. And I was happy with the 85p stamp, but not happy with your service quality not your colleague, it is you. You do understand how your service/working is. No one asks for politeness from you, but at least not rudeness and arrogance.
Incredibly rude and either incompetent or lazy. I paid for a parcel delivery online, which explicitly said that I could drop the package at any Post Office. The staff refused to receive the parcel on the only grounds that they didn't do it. When I showed them the Royal Mail email saying that this is a service they should provide they simply said that "I must have done some mistake" and got very rude. I should have read the previous reviews here though. DO NOT GO HERE.
The bald person sitting at one of the tables was rude for no reason when I asked him for a pen to write the address on the package. He spoke in Hindi assuming I wouldn't understand. His exact words were "student hoke pen nahi hai" meaning "you're a student and you don't have a pen with you!". I understood what he said because I speak the same language. I'm new to the UK, I was posting something for the first time and didn't know the process, I assumed there'll be a printed sticker. I did not say anything just ignored his unnecessary comment. It costs nothing to be kind to people especially paying customers but being rude to them will surely make you lose business in the long run. #peace
Horrendous, avoid this place! I posted a passport renewal in a paper thin envelope. Standard price as small letter is £2.75 signed for. They charged £3.45 for a large letter. I challenged this twice, and they insisted it was a large letter. I have been in a few times and their customer service is terrible. They are knowingly ripping customers off.
Most stupid service I have ever received. Went to drop off a large letter post with thickness <25mm. It is bubble wrapped so it does look swollen, but it is full of air and compressible, air don't count as thickness unless it cannot be squeezed! She simply compared it with her measuring scale and told me it was too thick, without even trying to put it through the scale. I argued that I could have put it through if she passed me that scale, she said she only believed her tool without even trying. That's rubbish. I went to a different/larger post office and they processed it for me without any issue, I have the receipt available if anyone investigates into this. What is the post office for if their staff is lack of knowledge and doesn't have common sense, and what are we paying for? Bad service and very old minded staff.
I have came to drop off a package. The staff refused to take the package and did not give any explanation why, saying that I did something wrong. They could not say what I did wrong, though. To be fair it was a Monday morning, but the rude and unhelpful customer service is not what I would expect in a post office. Avoid if you can.
I've been visiting this post office since over 2 years now and never had a bad experience. Yes, they can get busy, but what post office doesn't? You can still see that everyone working there tries their best. In some occasions they even go the extra mile! Arrived 20min earlier than their opening time on a Saturday and the staff took me in and helped regardless :
After a few visits, The staff always suggests the most expensive option to deliver a letter or a parcel which is not necessary. It's better to do your homework to know how much and which delivery option from the royal mail website before you get conned.
BEWARE! The blonde lady with tattoos was so rude and made me buy a stamp when she knew that the packaging she gave me didn't require a stamp. The bald guy was so sarcastic and rude when I was confused on what to do. The both of them laughed at me behind the counter. This was such a terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Avoid this place at all costs! I went home and cried, I even told my therapist about this. I'm too traumatised to ever step foot in a post office again. Thanks.
