We visited for the day, had a lovely cake in the tea rooms, and then headed out for a day/ afternoon of walks. The trails were well used, but some of the signage needs improving - we had to turn back a couple of times, despite being experienced navigators. There could also be a few more picnic benches around. But otherwise a lovely place to visit.
Gregynog hall is open to the general public as well as a hotel. There is a pay and display car park £2.50 per day cash only at time of writing. The hall seems looked after and is visually stunning. There are several walks to be done see photos for map. The signage for the routes has deteriorated in places and we ended up abandoning the red route to lack of signs but nether-less there is we’re lots to see and pleasant for autumn walks. There is a lovely cafe In a courtyard with excellent selections of cake and drinks with both seating indoors and outdoors in the courtyard Dogs are welcome on the side which is great for walking and they are also allowed In the courtyard which is great if you want to use the cafe if you have a dog.
Went late in the afternoon for a walk around the grounds. Cheap car parking Cafe looks good although we arrived at it too late in the day to get a coffee Take your kids here, let them off the lead to explore the trees etc
Beautiful place, spacious and spectacular grounds. Would suit large or small weddings and still feel intimate. Great food and friendly staff!Rooms: 5/5
The gardens and surroundings beautiful. The signposting of the walks very poor or not in existence! Met several other people wandering around where the routes were. Café good and tasty selection
Lovely old hall, doubt the looks are original as the render has come off a bit at the back and you can see the brickwork but still looks good. Some nice walks too. There is also a cafe but I heard its only open Thursday to Sunday. Parking is £2.50 all day. Rhododendrons lovely in May and June. The cafe do some lovely sandwiches and cakes.
Relocated cafe has lovely new indoor seating area. Beautiful enclosed courtyard too. Now open every day during the summer. Excellent tea and cakes.Service: 5/5
Our first visit to Gregyog Hall, a beautiful place and well looked after. All staff at the little cafe, and gardener made us welcome. Will definitely visit again with our dogs, and family and friends. We'll worth a visit and you can stay there too.
Absolutely fantastic , l can honestly say what a gorgeous place to visit. It's huge grounds to exercise with or without a dog, The main house is an excellent eye opener. You can pay £2-50 to park all day. A Cafe for refreshments and public toilets . The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The place is clean, what more can you ask. Highly recommended.
Went for a day arranged for free by local wildlife group. Paid 2.50 flat fee for all day parking, and the house and grounds/woods are great. Fantastic array of fungi, huge old trees and many options for family walking paths. Statues around, and in the tree picture see if you can spot the child right at the bottom! Dog friendly with lead on in the grounds. Small cafe with cakes, teas, coffees and a few sandwiches if you want to eat there. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Definitely return another day for a visit.
