very nice museum about the free mason and it also have a library with hundred years old books which you can do research with.
An absolutely stunning example of art deco architecture and design. Ornate ceilings and floors in many halls and such a well built structure!
A most wonderful place with a spectacular interior, visually stunning. It never disappoints, both as a venue to meet formally and more socially in the Bar & Cafeteria, which is open to all. The Museum provides a fascinating insight into Masonic history and, of course, there is always something special to buy in the in-house Shop. The tours, both accompanied or taken with the aid of an electronic guide are well worth undertaking, and are available to Masons or non-Mason alike. It's a must have experience to spend a few hours when in London.
Beautiful building with an amazing museum highlighting the history of Masonry. Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Another visit to the ‘home’ of Freemasonry - a lot of it open to the public, with pre-booked tours of the Grand Temple! This fabulous art deco building has won numerous awards and has been used as a location for many films, videos and tv progs. The museum is still one of the best around. The cafe/bar is open to the public, light and airy and is particularly great value for money in the surrounding area. I had a “coffee and cake deal” - a tasty mocha with slice of cappuccino cake! Delicious and, at £4.80 total, is hard to beat in London, or anywhere else for that matter. Staff are friendly, efficient and attentive.
Well it is the heart of freemasonry in England and Wales. Where ugle masons meet to conduct all that is good of freemasonry, raising money for good causes and now there is a cafe in the ground floor. It is open to the public and the prices are very good for location. The drinks are very reasonable and staff are efficient. I saw loads of non masons using the cafe and it is doing well. The museum is still one of the best I have seen having gone to other grand lodges. If you have time or you are interested in freemasonry please feel free to have a look. Please press like if you enjoyed my review. Still the home of freemasonry and the bar is one of the best value for money in the area. Today they had someone singing.
Stunning building with lots of qualities and well looked after. The finish and detail around this building is admirable with lots of history.
Alot of info to take in, but wotrth a visit if only to see inside this magnificent piece of architecture.
Very interesting tour. The tour guide was obviously well versed as a seasoned past Master and walked you through the Master Mason lecture without anyone even realizng all of the secrets being shared right in the open! Congratulations brothers on such a wonderful home and being so generous as to invite all guests for free. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at the Grand Lodge and you will too.
