The ride is nice and worthwhile especially if you want to both see and be learning about the British history. The staff are courteous and quite informed about the culture and history even though the interaction is minimal. The bus itself is clean and you are provided with earphone to learn about every area that you are passing through. I could only wish that they did actual stops for tourists to take photos like I have seen in other countries. That way you end up with memories of the tour just something they could consider as many tourists always appreciate more if they have photos in the destinations that they toured
The audio for the tour must have been set up with Geo points based on consistently slow moving traffic. On multiple occasions the audio would interrupt itself with the next stop when the buses were moving in clear traffic; however, most of the time we were merely listening to classical music Without any audio. This is my fourth time in London and my wife’s first, so this was very disappointing for her not getting all the audio of the locations we were passing. I have taken the hop on hop off tours in multiple cities before and it has been the best means of seeing the entire city. I highly recommend the hop on hop off platform when trying to see multiple landmarks in a new city, but I would not recommend taking this tour after the results we had. We paying £50 for two people, and being able to access the buses was very convenient.
Good idea for touring London. You can opt to purchase a 24hr ticket which allows you to mostly cover all relevant spots in a day. And also included is a river cruise along the Thames. So overall its a good way of getting around the main attractions in London.
It's not the best, but it is very practical for the tourist who needs to rest his/her feet. If you spent several days/weeks, even better because the ticket is valid for 12 months. Enjoy London by bus!
Our group went on a sightseeing tour on-board Big Bus Tours’ Hop-on, Hop-off bus system. The company offers three different packages: Classic, Premium, and Deluxe, all designed to be flexible to your schedule and at the pace you want. The Big Buses have open tops so we really enjoy unobstructed views of London’s many sights, attractions and landmarks. we can even hop on and hop off these buses as much as we like for the duration that our chosen package allows.
Visited on the 30th of July and paid £105 for 3 adults and one child. We first went on the blue line which had very good sights. The bus driver kept stopping for ages in grotty areas which annoyed me, wouldn’t mind if there was something to look at. One bus stop on the red line outside Euston station was closed due to roadworks, if this service had a live app or a website with up to date information like most other services, it would of saved a lot of trauma. The map is useless and the bus stop at st. Pancras was a nightmare to find as it didn’t list the name of the road. Next time, I’ll do my homework, download an app and test it before I book. This is not the first time I’ve been on a tour bus.
Joe, our guide, was just phenomenal. I have done a few of these tours and I can honestly say that this was by far the best, ever! Joe was entertaining, interesting and made the tour perfect!
Very good and definitely worth the money. You get to see all the major things while sitting. Make sure to choose a cloudy day bc it is very hot if you sit Uptop.
Hop on… Hop Off LONDON bus tour £62 for 24 hours, for 2 people. You get ear phones too. It was fab!
It's best quickest and most pocket friendly way to see the best of London, chose the option with the cruise. It was totally worth it and highly enjoyable.
