Popped in one lunchtime to try the menu. Had the Fish and chips and is was very nice so we booked a table for four one evening. The food was great as was the beer and the atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.Service: 4/5
Great location full of Naval history just off the main Cowes High Street. Polite and friendly young lady behind the bar Vicky who even explained the history and the age of the inn. Lovely ales but no food apart from a great pickled egg. The only downside. Could do with Local IOW draft ales. Well worth a try and wiill definitely be coming back again.
Friendly locals and good beer. Dropped into the pub next door to our B&B for a couple before dinner. This was a cycle trip raising money by visiting all the Lifeboat Stations in GB, and the locals donated to our cause. Good old fashioned proper pub with lots of good beers.
Great pub at the bottom end of Cowes Town near the parade. Lovely staff and good beer.
I was here with a friend tonight because it's the last pub open. two women were told to leave because they were kissing by the dinosaur bar lady. It's 2023 next week.... unbelievable.
Great little pub, just nipped in for a drink as they don't do food unless you want a pickled egg...Vicky was very efficient and friendly with good drinks and service..My brother-in-law Mike Oxlong especially loved the pint of LEFFE...
Awful. A noisy fridge in the room was prevent decent sleep but then we were woken at 1:30am by a bagpipe player and what sounded like one hundred people stomping their feet and shouting in the pub below. Some sort of party carried on for hours. Then in the morning we couldn’t even have a cup of tea as the milk was off so we might as well have turned the fridge off. Couldn’t have any of the breakfast items that were just left on a table outside in the hallway as it was just pastries and cereals and I can’t eat carbohydrates this had been explained. Nobody out to speak to.
Very friendly bar staff. Georgie was very helpful on the Monday afternoon and went out of her way recommending best places to visit.
One star is for the pub as nice and local for a drink, but as for the night not sleeping until 2:30 as the big room is just above the bar. As for the cleaning or lack off and the state of the bathroom complete renovation needed. To top it off the pack lunch breakfast I gave to the local homeless person. Could be so much more if renovated as good location.
Would have got 5 stars ..but they don't take cash... I only had cash lol
