Unicorn in Chorlton is a fantastic spot for organic products, offering a great selection of fresh, high-quality items. I appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of their packaging, which aligns well with an eco-friendly approach. The store is always clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, making shopping a pleasant experience. Their commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing is evident in their product range. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, ensuring that customers find what they need. Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, pantry staples, or eco-friendly goods, Unicorn is a reliable and trustworthy choice. A must-visit for anyone who values organic and ethical shopping.
The variety at uniocn for organic, vegan and quality produce products is immense.nnPrices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality matches what you pay for.nnI would focus on vegetables when im there, as the tinned foods is just marked up.nnI have a vegan friend that would spend £50 on the vegan products you can find there, so it must be a heaven for vegan people.nnAll in all, I would return for the vegetables myself. There's also some meat being offered there..
I absolutely love this place. First visited 20 +years ago when they first opened and I lived in Manchester.nnI now live up North near Penrith so it’s a treat when I get to visit and I feel like a kid in a sweet shop…nnThe selection is incredible, the price are good, presentation is beautiful. Quality is top notch… staff are lovelynnI only wish we had a place like this up north and I could visit everyday!!!
This is what supermarkets ought to be like. Everything is sourced relatively locally, there is an abundance of high quality fresh produce, it is not prohibitively expensive at least compared to other mid-range supermarkets, the business is ethically run, it's clean and the staff are lovely, no half-baked covers of mid-tier pop songs are howling in the background, and there is no violently marketed ultra-processed plastic-covered stuff that'll kill you. It's only a shame that you can probably count on one hand the number of urban supermarkets that match this description in the whole country. Obviously it would be nice if it were a bit cheaper, but I imagine that if they could ethically source cheaper stuff, they probably would. Chain supermarkets are cartoonishly evil and the fact that places like this can be this good for workers and consumers gives me some hope.
been shopping here regularly for months and still amazed by the gorgeous veggies on display, fresh daily and of high quality! all produce is vegan and majority organic but not as overpriced as many whole food stores. very grateful for unicorn :
