Absolutely love it here. I fully recommend going to twenty eight barbers to anyone who wants amazing service and awesome haircuts. I have been going to Jay for over a year every month. He always does exactly what I ask for and he does it to suit my features really well. He is very skilled and polite. Everyone else seems really lovely too. The atmosphere in the barbershop is always great and I don't feel out of place for going there because I'm not a man. This the latest haircut I got and I absolutely love it. *They offer colour services as well but I did this one myself so ignore the uneven bleach job * Requested style: I went in with a picture of what I wanted and that's what I got. Style inspiration: Originally I got inspired by Ingrid Elida on Tiktok but I've had many versions of this haircut now and I prefer a shorter version to them. Hair type: The hair shaft itself is thick and originally lowish porosity. At this length essentially straight so it's easier to handle and make behave. When it's longer I have a mainly 2A, some places 2B texture but it's irrelevant now. The black bits are natural, the red is bleached and semi permanent treated. I do use heat and products to style so there is further damage but the constant haircuts keep it relatively healthy. Stylist: Jay. He's awesome!!
Been going to this barber for 6 years now and had nothing but great experiences, I am one that likes to stick to 1 barber for comfort reasons and when my original one left I was worried but Chris took on the mantel and has been doing a great job! Staff is fantastic. I have started bringing my son here too and he gets his haircut by Lina who he actively asks for when booking. Overall would fully recommend this barbers!
I've been going to 28 for over 10 years now, and no matter who cuts my hair it's perfect. All the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Catching up with Jay is always great and he always knows what to do with my hair even when I don't.
Always a great trim at twenty eight, but I thought I had to highlight how much of a great experience I had with Lina this morning. Not only was the haircut great, but the vibes were impeccable. Thank you twenty eight & the team for always delivering.

Amazing service, went in with a rough idea of what I wanted and Harry brought it to life, went from long hair down my back to a nice undercut with length on top. He styled it in a way that I wasn't expecting but very much appreciate, because it looks way better than the other times I have had a similar style. The atmosphere was relaxed and professional and the price was very reasonable too. Definitely recommend!
Great place for a seriously good haircut. All staff are great and have a laugh and chat with you. Have been going for a while now and have no intention of going anywhere else. Best barbers in town.
neither satisfy with haircut, nor the attitude staff treated to me. it was white female staff. She is trend to talk to other people rather than focus on her own job. While her skill is bad as well. it was a bad experience. not worth of 24 pounds. I will not go for there anymore.
I have been coming to twenty eight since moving to Nottingham 3 years ago. Jay is the man! Haircut is 10/10 every time and always able to squeeze me in when desperate times call Cannot recommend enough
Managed to get in with Lina for an ‘express womens cut’ before my anniversary. I daringly asked her to add some layers into my hair - Feel like a new woman!
