As a locum dental nurse I get to work at many dental practices in the area I have been a dental nurse for 28 years so I have witnessed the best and the worst practices. Tunbridge Wells Dental Centre have invested a lot of time and thought into delivering the perfect overall patient experience and in my opinion is spot on. From the moment the patient enters they are welcomed by friendly receptionists into a beautiful patient lounge..resembling a boutique hotel which is relaxing and non dental especially for nervous patients.The building and surgeries have undergone major refurbishment so the relaxing environment is delivered throughout, gone are the days of hard dental chairs... here patients can relax on a memory foam dental chair, with soft background music. The decontamination unit is superior, with all the team following strict guidelines so patients can relax in the knowledge that if dental equipment isn't disposable then it has been sterilized to the highest standard. I have worked with the team here for nearly a year on a very regular basis and from the quality of work I have witnessed ranging from a general check -up, fillings to Invisalign and dental implants Dr Farzad Afzal is a perfectionist and the quality of his work is outstanding.Dr Afzal is especially good with nervous patients and children, being very gentle and patient. One of the major differences here that you don't get in many places is the time given to each patient ensuring that any treatment is painless , the patient is comfortable and fully understands procedures. The new Dentist Dr Mike Field is just as understanding and patient and has a special interest in children's dentistry, taking time to talk to little ones and not so little ones beforehand. I enjoy working with the team here as I have witnessed exemplary dentistry and high clinical standards as they should be and I would highly recommend.
