Great old fashioned department store. There is a great selection of products here. I believe everyone will find some lovely presents for the families and themselves :- Clothing, shoes, kitchen accessories, cosmetics, candles, cards, nightwear, decorations, DIY knitting, sweets, coffee etc. You will see a lot of well known brand such as Cath Cidson etc. I think this is one of the best shops in New Malden on High Street. Small and cosy.
This is a fantastic shop. Friendly, long standing staff who know their products. Really good variety of kitchen ware, bedding and toys. They have really good buyers so they always have changing and unusual products. I'm often complimented on stuff I've bought at Tudors. The café is a nice, peaceful place to stop and I've heard they do good lunches. It feels like a focal point for the high street. I've moved away from New Malden but I still come back to shop at Tudor Williams.
Lovely old fashioned type department store. Not many left like this one. Clean and well laid out. Nice little cafe on the first floor.got nostalgic in this store, reminds me of when I was a child in the 70,s with my mum.visiting the local department store. Sweet.
Plenty of choice for all kinds of goods Kitchen and cooking department has lots of gadgets as well as the essentials Haberdashery department has fabrics, wool fabric dyes, cottons buttons and much much more. The restaurant serves hot meals, cakes and coffee and is good value
Despite looking like a tramp today, I was treated with care and attention. I shopped in the fabulous haberdashery department, then I went downstairs to try on a bra. The lady in the underwear department was fantastic! I didn't quite realise just how awful I looked until i saw myself in a full length mirror! The attendant took no notice of my shocking, scruffy appearance and fitted me out with a choice of bra's. Needless to say when I got home I immediately dumped all my old clothes in the bin - and washed my hair! Thank you to the staff for treating me like someone that mattered - their attitude made me realise that, actually, maybe I DO matter! Thank you
A pleasant department store. Old fashioned but not outdated. I don't think you can complain if you find a sale item at TW cheaper online somewhere it is the same with any shop. If you are on that tight a budget you should research first before purchasing in sales. Online traders do not have the overheads of a manned store.
What a gem of a store. Only walked in because I had some time to kill but was really surprised at the quality of the merchandise on offer from home goods to shoes. They also have a great little cafe.
Departmental store with class, quality and taste! It has a recently refurbished cafe which is very cosy. My favourite High street place to shop for events and have a cuppa!
Overheard one of the cashiers berating a customer to “speak English”! How rude! The irony was that the cashier was an immigrant who must at one point have only spoken limited English. Also, how did she know that those women weren’t tourists. Not surprised they’re going out of business if that’s how they treat customers.
I feel the store has tried to reinvent itself repeatedly but has ended in a confused identity. Clothes yes or no? Shoes yes or no? For years the tumbleweed has been blowing around the upper floors. And what was the thinking behind marketing a bed right in front of the doors? Move the cafe downstairs so that you get people into the building. Ditch the candles and cards. Open a small deli. in that space. Have events in the haberdashery and toy departments. Put in a technology dept? Take a look at what Ely’s did to modernise. Too late, too late.
