Visited today, wow best chippie I have visited in years. We had x 2 sausage and chips sat inside on a dark grey day. Chips were beautiful fluffy and non greasy. Sausage was very good however the curry sauce was to die for. Spicy and thick plus had a feel of a homemade sauce ? The chap behind the counter asked if we were eating in? I expected takeaway trays however our meals were served on plates with cutlery at no extra cost. In my experience chippies who have tables charge you for sitting down so this was a nice surprise. Will definitely visit again !
I researched to find gluten free fish & chips in Matlock Bath and found Tuckers and I must say that it was well worth the hours drive. Staff very knowledgable about cross contamination and certainly reassured me that it was safe for me to eat there serving gluten free everyday. Lovely restaurant seating area and dog friendly at that… can certainly recommend and will definitely be going again… thank you
My wife is celiac and this is the best place for gluten-free fish and chips. Always fresh and hot. All the condiments are gluten-free as well. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are lovely and friendly always with a smile on there faces. Nothing is to much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend anyone to come in and try you won’t be disappointed
First time visitor and was left very impressed by my experience, prices are great for a tourist area and the food even better. The staff made us feel welcome and the sitting in experience was great with table service and a smile. Well worth the visit and will be returning again soon.
Wow!!!!!! Super clean fish and chips place with an option to eat in with a very clean environment. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Do not think twice about trying the best fish and chips in Matlock Bath and I promise you will not regret it! Thank you for your first class service and I highly recommend you! /
This is the second time I've eaten at Tuckers. The first time was warmer weather so me and my family ate outside. The second time was cooler autumn and we ate inside. I ordered chicken nuggets separately for my little dog and she was brought her own little bowl of nuggets. I stripped the batter from the nuggets and Lily enjoyed them, as did my daughter. The meat inside the nuggets were the leanest and whitest meat I've seen. The service was outstanding and the assistant asked if Lily dog wanted a bowl of water. Thank you for the warm and welcome service and being accommodating to Lily - she enjoyed the nuggets. We will be visiting you each time we visit Matlock.
Lovely place. Went here for the first time and the gluten free fish and chips was amazing, cooked to perfection. Wouldn't even be able to tell the difference, I've had gluten free fish from a chippy before and the batter was soggy but this was so lovely and crisp. Probably the best gluten free meal I have had since having to eat gluten free. Usually have to pay rediculous prices for gluten free when eating out but this was reasonably priced. Staff are lovely and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options including all sides, even do gluten free battered sausage
This place is up there with of the best fish and chips I've had. The fish was so tasty and fresh and the batter was nice and crispy. If I'm ever back in Matlock Bath this will be my first stop
Me and the wife popped in to Tuckers today for some dinner, as usual the food was a delight. The best fish and chips around! The curry sauce is so good. We had a great chat with the staff and felt really welcomed. Thank you
Lovely , Clean place , good value. Fish and Chips were delicious. Most of all ,the staff !two lovely ladies , and other staff so polite and helpful with a big smile in their face .I can’t praise them enough . While we were eating my mother ‘fainted ‘ and ambulance needed to be calledwhich they did . They were so quick to respond , attended to both our mum and us with kindness , care and support throughout out the incidence and afterwards. They made us comfortable and checked on us periodically with a big smile and shower us with kindness. We are so grateful and we will remember them forever. Thank you
