Truro Motor Company Volvo

Three weeks ago I booked my Volvo C70 in explaining that the folding metal roof wasn`t working,Ten minutes later I received a return phone call asking what the original number plate was,as they would have to get the sensors in to fix the problem.Three hours later and £117 pounds lighter I was informed that a sensor had gone,Needless to say they hadn`t got one in stock.Week two,another three hours wandering around Truro only to be told that the fault had been diagnosed and the the module was not in stock.Week three,another three hours wandering about only to be told that there was not enough time before they closed to fix the problem.However they finally lent me a car to go home in.Today I collected my car,another £977 lighter.That is £1,094 to fix a problem that my local garage said they could have repaired if Volvo would have allowed them a look at the wiring diagrams.As a postscript the staff were pleasant.

Edited. Well "Truro Motor Company Volvo" what a let down you have become, from the strutting and quite frankly pompous aftersales manager to the lady from the service department, I have been handed over to on previous occasions, who quite frankly seems that confused in what she is doing she wouldn't qualify as a cleaner in my old buisness, Sailing Yacht & Motor Yacht services, I feel I have no choice in writing this review. You have 1 last chance to redeem yourselves on the day of our cars 2nd service, 3rd of May 2018, I Do truly believe you can do it. A few days after this review I had a telephone call from Stephen Weedon, Helston Garages Group after sales manager, showing genuine concern at the service i had received from TRURO VOLVO service team! He asked if a could detail exactly what had occurred on my previous visits plus what i thought had gone wrong, I would wish to convey to Stephen many thanks for this personnel attention to a customers grievances it is a breath of fresh air in this modern world of apathy and nonchalance that there are still managers out there that realise that the success of a buisness is being able to educate and illuminate his customer facing personnel. To quote Sir Richard Branson "A companys success rides on looking after its employees because happy professionl staff make for happy customer's" Amendment. What a difference a review makes! a totaly smooth and pleasant visit was had by my XC70, Simon the previously mentioned "pompous" service adviser, was helpful and informative, the courtesy car was, although outwardly needing a quick blast over with the Power Wash located 20mtrs away, presented at the door with plenty of fuel, so searching for a garage before getting off on your way, Simon explaining some of the control's, paperwork signed off I went to return at 17:00 as advised. At approximately 15:30 my mobile phone, "hatu matu"ed its jungle for now until my intrest wains, demanded my attention, upon answering a very polite Simon informed me that XC70 was ready and if i wanted to collect early I may, this option a took up as i had also finished buisness for the day. The journey from our Country pile to Truro Volvo Via the Shell refuelling station and attached mini hypermarket was uneventful upon reaching Volvo, XC70 was just being parked in the customer parking area, XC's Magic Blue paintwork gleaming in the mid afternoon sunshine. Simon greeted with a pleasant smile and upon beconing to sit proceded after the accustomed pleasantries to run through what works had been done to XC, he then showed me to XC explaining a couple of items in the settings menu of XC's onboard computer that I had asked about. His knowlege of said system was fantastic and he explained in a way that even this "self confessed luddite" could understand. So in conclusion and without prejudice I have to give TRURO VOLVO New score of 4 out of 5 loosing that final star because of the muddy courtesy car, a not so surprising turnaround as i did predict i believe that it was within TRURO Volvo's abilitys to deliver excelent service.

A very smart and well managed Volvo main dealership. The receptionist helped to find the salesman I needed and I was quickly helped in my enquiry. Parking for sales, service and parts is off-street and there is a seating area with newspapers and refreshments in the showroom.
