I don’t know what is up with the bad reviews! This place was aaaamaazing, we had a great day out, it is a nice place to enjoy with kids of various ages and they will all love it! Some people were complaining about the payment, but guys, they expenses of keeping a place like this up and running is huge! Plus they are trying to keep endangered species alive. One tip thought: bring the kids in thin summer layers, water for everyone, it get really warm once inside! Enjoy the garden outside before you leave
Been coming here for as long as I can remember since I live nearby so literally once in 6 months we just walk in. My 5 year old daughter just loves it around. Place is well designed and maintained and easy to navigate through. Not a very big place but they have incredible species in-house. I met a gentleman here who was complaining about the ticket price I kept quiet but explained to him that this is place is not just a public venue but they are investing on conservation of some of the endangered species. I would not mind paying since I know the money goes for the right cause. I would recommend this place to anyone, it's worth paying a visit.
Came with my 2 kids and we loved it! Yes it is hot and humid but that's what you expect from a tropical enclosure. Saw plenty of butterflies, they were landing on people! Lots of animals to see. The only thing we struggled with was it was very busy and the paths were very narrow, it did sometimes get confusing were to go next, we were worried about missing things. It was lovely though and for the price too, a bargain!
Very child friendly! Could take stroller everywhere with us, my 1.5 year old was tall enough too see everything. A great family thing to do. Very hot like dessert hot so wear clothes accordingly.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Amazing place, love to visit regularly, staff are always welcoming and friendly, the environment is clean and my child loved seeing all the animals. An area was closed off on this visit which was a little disappointing but still had a great day out. Cheap ticket price too meant we could spend more at the gift shop!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Went at a really good time as there were hardly any kids in the way, fun to walk around, some enclosures are very small, which made us quiet sad! especially the monkey ones. saw a few butterflies and birds which is very cute! Recommend for kids too!
A déjà visit. We last visited with my children and their grandparents and this time it was a generational shift; we are now the grandparents. Very enjoyable visit and there was plenty to see and be excited about. Even Mr Porcupine poked his head out. Colourful and tuneful birds, huge fish and lots more to see and do.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
I’ve visited here a handful of times over the past 12+ years and it’s definitely changed and not necessarily for the better. It definitely gives ‘run down vibes’ however it is what you make it. Our little man had a great time but as adults we could see where things were lacking. A lot of the enclosures looked worse for wear and there was a lot of construction type work going on with some tanks only half full. I wouldn’t rush back now that it’s a paid entry place as I don’t feel it’s worth the price HOWEVER I would say it’s worth a little visit if you’re local enough.
It was a beautiful experience. Kids enjoyed and saw many new animals. Finding insects was fun game.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNot sure
Great tropical experience, some exotic tropical plants and animals. I have been there multiple times. Each I visit there I made sure to take along a friend or family. It reminds me of my country’s India’s climate and nature. Well maintained and carefully taken care of. They do have a small gift shop and a big cafe. It is definitely a great place for children to learn more about tropical plants insects, birds and animals . The entry fee is 7 pounds which is not bad . There is a massive garden outside with a fountain , take a walk outside to relax I myself visited Tropical world 6 times in 3 years. Summer or spring is the best time to visit , garden would be at its best with butterflies flying around as well
