Wow! Tastes like home. My mum went here today and had fun talking to the owner about Trinidad. I’m currently enjoying the chicken roti and already eaten the pholourie. It is soooo good. Highly recommend a visit for great take out food. Many thanks for the roti skins as well!! I just need a Carib now
Amazing food and great value. The staff were super friendly. We'd just moved to the area, and the man at the register chatted with us about things to do with our little one. The goat is lovely, and they have plenty of vegetarian options. Easily the best takeaway in the area.
Never ever known staff to be so belligerent cantankerous and ghastly. Seriously if this business does not take on board customers complaints and recommendations then it's doomed for failure! Your customers are who pay your bills and mortgage/rent. It doesn't cost to be polite you need the customers the customers don't need you! I'm so disgusted reading the replies from the owner to the customers who complained about portion sizes and the price they paid for the size of the portion!
Loved the fiery owner. However Ive tried roti before and it was different than this one. The taste was good but not the best I've had. Didnt really care for the mac and cheese, it was quite stiff and needed salt. Some of my lamb was quite fatty, but I ate it. Good prices for the roti. And the portion size was big.
Came here this morning and bought 2 doubles, pholorie, a banana solo and an apple j. The lady was very kind to me it was so nice talking to a Trinidadian . I just want to say thank you to her and the other lady who gave me the food for your kindness and making me feel welcome! God bless you both
The overall presentation and taste was generally good. The curry wasn't ideal tasting but the meat and potatoes were well cooked and consistency was saucy. It made sense to eat with utensils rather than fingers otherwise it will be too messy. There's also no running water to wash hands.
Great experience, actually felt like I was having a roti in Trinidad. Would recommend to anyone in the area
Small roti shop with a few seats. The staff are not very professional, but that is typical of this type of establishment. The menu is adequate for a roti shop with more options than just roti. The drinks available are also quite adequate and very true to what Trinidadians usually have with their roti meals. The doubles are absolutely not authentic. The doubles are too thick and the consistency is not what you normally get with doubles in Trinidad. The phalorie is also a bit on the heavy side. You do also have a few typical Trinidadian snacks and other bits available so that's a nice touch to make the place feel more true to the Trinidadian vibe. The roti is quite good. I would recommend you try the roti but avoid the other dishes. It's worth a visit if you want some Trinidadian roti and you're in the area but I won't go out of my way to visit this shop.
I've never had the pleasure of visiting this shop. But based upon their poor review clap-backs, I believe they deserve their own TV show. The responses are hilarious. This shop must be protected at all cost. Kindest of regards Ohms
The service in the shop was quite haphazard, looked very scantily staffed i.e. 2 staff only ... Ordered mutton roti wrap amongst others but although standing in the shop waiting for a while, was not called when order was ready. Order had been sitting on the side for quite a while ... apart from that ... it was extremely delicious and very filling, couldn't finish a whole wrap albeit hadn't eaten for hours and quite hungry
