I visited Trenchard Street Car Park recently and found it to be disappointingly overpriced for its size. The parking rates are exorbitant, and to make matters worse, the lifts were out of order. Even attempting to use them was a hassle, with a confusing process involving swiping the parking ticket that didn't even work properly. The complexity of operating the lifts was unnecessary and frustrating. Additionally, the staircase was unpleasant, with a strong odour of urine and marijuana. Overall, it's not a pleasant experience.
Trenchard Street parking is always a delight. It's so handy to where I need to go. Maybe I'll just pop by today just to visit. No drama, so appreciate that. However, if you depend on the kindness of lifts it seems you will be outta luck. People waiting and waiting; perhaps there is a secret code--or some subtle signage the people waiting didn't notice. I never found out because I took the stairs. Then again, maybe it's a bit of a insider's club feel because they aren't that into signage. Having areas where you park have letter/number sequence or names like at Disney might be fun. On the 5th floor there is a fab stairwell that goes nowhere, but the sign on the stairwell door does let you know when you have walked there. Actually, I'm feeling 5 stars because of all these unique features, but sticking with my 4 because, like the sign at the stairs that go nowhere, you figure it out by the time you get there. Maybe let some artists decorate the concrete so there's some mural action and then people can remember which part of the mural they parked by. It's Bristol: let there be art.
Just ripped off by Bristol CC. Where does it say £6.50 on the list of tariffs? 2 hours stay should be £5.00.nnThis park is the only one in shouting distance of BRI. So Bristol CC see fit to take advantage of hospital patients and visitors by charging outrageous amounts.nnTo cap it, the park is literally yards inside the CAZ so all those less well-off patients who can't afford a new car get double whammy.nnOutrageous!!
Follow sat nav & takes you there despite wondering if doing the right things. Plenty of bays, mind the concrete pillars. Remember where the payment machines are. Easily step out into the centre of Bristol & the Beacon for classical music. Reasonably priced after 18:00 at £4. Usually car parks are free or lower parking rate after 19:00 or even 20:00. Really encouraging to visit Bristol after 18:00. Exit quick & efficient once paid at machine - barrier up & away, no faffing with parking card.
Use this car park as close to Bristol hospitals and relatively cheap at £2.50p per hour if visitingnThe park is quite old and you exit it a level 8!! Ticket on entry pay machines on exit
