The meals are very good value. Well cooked, good selection of vegetables. Most of the staff are pleasant and attentive. However today the girl who took our order called Shelbee had no personality whatsoever, no smile she certainly did not look as though she was in a job which she enjoyed

Charged Bank Holiday prices on a Saturday because its Easter Bank Holiday ''Weekend'' and cold veg! Vegetarian food 'maybe' cooked in same fryers as meat (how is that acceptable) no diet pepsi unless you upgrade to refillable drinks. Prices have shot up compared to previous years, really enjoyed this place for the last eight years but time for a change.

Visited today with my friend and daughter, for carvery and drinks.first time since the refurbishment.love the new look but feel like customers are now paying for it! Prices gone up quite a bit :\ carvery ,wine and desserts!..and found that tight with the meat at the counter..choice of veg was good but all in all a pricier experience. Staff were very friendly.

Since the new ‘refurbishment’ I would have to say that the quality does not reflect the price tag. To begin, the seating for me and my mum was horrendous, squished against a wall with who knows how many people walking behind with hot plates full of gravy- on a busy weeknight you could expect your coat to have a few gravy spills. Next, we noticed a change to the menu, it’s a ridiculous size and fold out full method made me feel as though i was orienteering with a giant map. Then the staff communication and preparation was less than par. No cutlery anywhere to be seen, none on tables, and pots or tubs to collect your own, I asked where to get some and ‘they’ll be on your table’ said one staff member. With our hot plates of food at our table there was no cutlery. The staff member who was supposed to pre-set the tables was doing little to nothing as I noticed her ‘busy’ shift of moving the receipts into cute little rows...multiple times. Next we had our drinks which were to be honest, very unsatisfactory. The glasses where thick and heavy, far too much for most people. I understand you can choose not to fill your glass too full however the act of a bar member filling drinks - something bar members normally do at most establishments- had nothing wrong with it. Finally I would not recommend the Trawlerman after its new changes. I believe they attempted to fix that which was not broken.
