Great spot for some good theatre. Went to Traverse, theatre 2, to see 'I can go anywhere'. Super play with some excellent messages about identity politics, immigration and music. Theatre small. Nice and intimate. Bar area spacious, service prompt and friendly. Lots of nearby pubs and restaurants for a pre-theatre meal or snack.
Was here for the Invisible Man show with my daughter. Easy to get to. Show is absolutely hilarious .
We love the Traverse and always try to get there when we are in Edinburgh. We weren't let down again. We saw the Trojan Horse from Lung Theatre from Barnsley. Really excellent!
Went to see the marvellous Frankenstein at Traverse 1. Apart from the magnificent show deserves a transfer to the West End, the theatre was very good. Well drilled staff, good bar and excellent sight lines to the stage. The only downside are the precipitous steps in the theatre.
Lovely inclusive theatre with warm theatre space and delightful staff
A great theatre with an eclectic mix of plays. I was here during the Fringe; I have been to the Traverse many times and the quality is consistently good. The bar is reasonably priced for a theatre, and the food is good too.
