We stayed at Travelodge Poole North as a family for one night while exploring the Dorset area, including Durdle Door, Old Harry Rocks, Corfe Castle, and nearby attractions, and had a really good overall experience.nThe hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made it easy to relax after busy days out. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. A special mention goes to the manager, Raquel, whose professional and welcoming attitude added to our positive stay.nThe location worked very well for us—situated near Fleetsbridge Roundabout at the entrance to Poole, right by the main road. It allowed easy access into Poole town and convenient routes towards Bournemouth, Southampton, Dorchester, and other nearby areas. There are also useful amenities nearby, including Tesco Extra, Lidl, Burger King, and several other food outlets.nThe family room was a good size, and the beds were comfortable. Parking was straightforward and free, which was a great bonus. While the hotel is not luxurious, it provided everything we needed for a simple, affordable, and practical family stay.nOverall, it was a very convenient and pleasant base for exploring the area, and we would happily stay again.
Pleasantly surprised,nHaven't been to a Travelodge for years after having a few horrendous experiences,nOn our visit to Poole North we found the staff very smart and welcoming, The room absolutely spotless including the bathroom, Food breakfast was hot and well presented,nWe would most definitely recommend this particular Travelodge to our family and friends.nOne constructive criticism :nThe area around the litter bin outside the main entrance door is littered with cigarette ends and litter, Some which look like it's been there for sometime as the cans and wrappers are faded.nPossibly just an oversight but a clean up would improve guests overall experience.
We felt completely overcharged and, frankly, ripped off. It seemed that because the sun was out and demand was high, prices were increased accordingly. Unfortunately, this was the only option available to us at the time, so we overlooked it.nnThe rooms were decent and clean overall, and I must say the staff were extremely polite and friendly throughout our stay. However, when you charge rates comparable to a 5-star hotel £245 per night, the standards should reflect that.nnThe bathroom had not been cleaned properly, and the shower gel provided was an absolute joke I can’t upload the video here to proof. I don’t dilute shower gel at home, so I certainly don’t expect watery soap when paying premium hotel rates.nnDinner was a disaster. How can you get something as simple as fries so wrong? They were inedible, and to make matters worse, the pizza arrived incorrectly prepared.nnBreakfast was equally disappointing. At £9.99 per person, it was extremely poor value for what was offered.nnIf you wish to charge 5-star hotel prices, then you need to deliver 5-star standards. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.nnOverall, I left feeling very disappointed. While the staff were excellent, the quality of the facilities and food did not justify the price. I would not recommend this hotel and would not return.nnRating: 3/5 staff saved it from being 1 star.
Only stayed a couple of nights but the place was well kept and in a hot spot to get to places. Close to Poole Quay and harbour but not on top of it. Only down part is the dual carriageway on one side facing the hotel. We were lucky to be the other side so I can't tell if it would have been any louder. Breakfast is what you expect but I would say they need some work on the mushrooms. All in it wasn't a bad stay
Stayed for two nights with an early start on the 1st day. Didn't get off to a great start as when I went to make a drink I was greeted with this. See photo. Other than that the room was clean and this was sorted. As the room was located at the front of the hotel there was some road noise and on the 1st night when I needed sleep there was a dog barking nearby. Would stay here again as it is excellent value but I would pay extra to select a room away from the road.
