Great hotel. Room was superb. Clean, roomy and comfy bed. The service in every area of the hotel was excellent at all times. Breakfast was very good.nMy only issue was dinner. The food could be better in my opinion, but maybe it was my choices. Cheese board was excellent.nOverall v good stay. And would give the restaurant another go as everyone tries so hardnWould stay again
Shame they wouldn't spare us the drive in the floods by moving our booking forward, despite having the rooms free. Had to charge extra, natch. So we drove through rain and flood.nnCar parking, which you might just be lucky to get, you also pay extra for. So keep your luggage pavement friendly.nWe loved the idea of breakfast in bed. But not the soggy heavy pastries that arrived. And which were the same at the table the following day.nGreat to have no room service for a small bar bonus. But ran out of coffee because of.nThe lighting by the bed with usb didn't light or charge. Unless there was a system I failed to understand.nBed lumpy.nBut bathroom had shelving. Great to have somewhere to put stuff.nOtherwise good
My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Du Vin in Poole Tuesday Oct.1st 2024 and we had the most perfect time. The entire team at the Hotel Du Vin were brilliant. Excellent customer service skills from start to finish.nMy partner and I got married the following day , the hotel kindly allowed all of my family to have a late check-out so we could go straight from the hotel to the registry office. This gesture was so greatly received from everyone. When my family arrived at the hotel, they were all surprised with an upgrade. All the rooms are superb and the entire group loved them.nWe had a beautiful meal on the Tuesday night and the chef , kitchen team and the waiters/waitresses did a brilliant job. The food was yummy and again , everyone from the entire group agreed.nI would love to thank the entire Poole, Hotel Du Vin team for an outstanding experience and my new husband and I will definitely return at some point in the future. We had a room upgrade the room was clean, spacious and characterful and experienced the tasting menu - the food was delicious and the wine was well paired. We were served by Anne, who explained the pairings in excellent detail, and was a credit to the hotel on a busy day there was a wedding function downstairs.
An excellent overnight stay with dinner. We stayed in the main house which we were very pleased with and in a standard room, we had opted in for the room upgrades but as it happens we were totally delighted with our room which was a good sized room with an OK view. We were lucky to get parking which made life easier at £15 per night. Both dinner and breakfast was delicious, big shout out to Zachary who excelled with his engagement with all guests and indeed did make a great Daiquiri. We chose a traditional breakfast which was extremely well sourced and cooked, with a proper toast making machine that doesn't need a second toasting. Nice service again and good coffee and juice, there were some nice pastries and interesting other options like a Guernsey tea loaf too. Bathroom was spacious and the L'Occitane toiletries are excellent, nice to see free mineral water, Tissues, coffee and tea bags and biscuits in the room, and a TV with chromecast for YouTube. The air con/heating was a little disturbing whether it was on or off but other than that an excellent stay all round from reception to restaurant, bar and rooms.
