This hotel was surprisingly very well ran. It's close to the market that has all kinds of food, clothing etc.nVery inexpensive, I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Loughborough.
Stayed here for 5 nights to attend university graduation. Not too fussed about the fact that reception is not at the ground floor and no restaurant at the premises as there’s lifts for access to all rooms and big Tesco is literally opposite.nnLack of parking is a slight downside but the hotel is located close to town with good transport links to the university so it’s fine for me.nnThe room was a good size and had good views of the canal, coffee and tea and a kettle was also provided. Could have benefited with a fridge but not a big problem.nnI found it a bit unusual when I realised that there was no duvet on the bed, just a thin sheet. The duvet was in a laundry bag in a corner and when I went to take it out, there were obvious brown stains on the duvet cover that resembled faeces The duvet cover was also separated from the duvet, and also had stains on it.nnThe lads at reception were real nice and helpful, they brought a new duvet to the room within 5 minutes after I reported the matter at 11pm.nnTowels were clean and were changed upon request which was good.nnOverall not bad after the first hiccup!
Very low budget even for a budget hotel. It's a bed and a bathroom so it did the job. Good location if you need to be close to the town, but there is no parking and it's not an easy walk with luggage from the ncp or Sainsbury's!!! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and were the saving grace here. Wouldn't be my first choice again and has put me off Travelodge in general. Sorry but not for me. No bar, no restaurant, not even a vending machine where you can get drinks or snacks. 2 sachets of coffee and 2 tea bags are just not sufficient, and I shouldn't have to go and ask for more if I want them, even a hair dryer has to be asked for !!! Thankfully there were 2 toilet rolls :
Room was absolutely atrocious. The manager Tracey was EXTREMELY rude swearing and shouting when I asked about the refund she said would be in my account within 2-3 hours it’s now day 5 so I rang them today and all I got was shouted at and sworn at. Absolutely atrocious do not stay here!! Avoid at all costs save yourself from this mess of a hotel. I tried calling them back about my refund and they keep declining my calls as they now know my number! KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PLEASE NOT WORTH THE HASSLE OR THE BED BUGS!!!!
A good town centre location, near to all the shops, bars and restaurants. The only problem is that the Travel Lodge doesn't have its own car park.
