Lovely, fairly new hotel. Excellent service, both at reception and in the restaurant. Breakfasts great value. Hotel well maintained. Heating adjustable in each room. Only downfall was a lack of drawers or shelves. Only one small bench for kettle, cups etc. Hanging rack also. Living out of suitcase on the floor. Might have become a problem had we been staying for a few nights
Room looked nice and clean, bed very comfortable but too much light entering around curtains. Hotel response was basically oh we'll look into it which didn't do anything to make up for the extremely poor sleep I experienced when I stayed.
Being a Travelodge it is easy to know what is expected, but I found Hexham to be the best I have stayed at. Good car parking, good AC on a very hot day, clean tidy, friendly staff. Also on the day I went, it was the cheapest place to stay in the town.

First time I've used this Travelodge, and I'll certainly be returning.nThe staff have been great, really friendly, chatty, helpful, and lovely to deal with.nnThe food is good, with the steak and ale pie being a proper pie with pastry all round, not just a Ramekin dish with pastry on top. The pizza was freshly made, not just a frozen one.
