We had afternoon tea for my birthday. It was amazing, the table was beautifully set out, it made me feel very special. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Could not fault the staff, they all deserve plenty of praise. Thank you, we will be back.
Just called in for lunch, which we have done a few times now. Nice food, friendly and helpful staff and good beer selection. Nice central location too. What more do you need?
Staff were very friendly and our dog was made very welcome - even had scrambled egg for breakfast. Rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Only downside is lack of parking on site and need to leave car overnight on public open air car park near Waitrose and carry luggage uphill to the hotel.
About a 10 minute walk from train station. Nice Pub on ground level especially since most stuff in town closes early, especially on Sundays.nRoom was clean, complimentary bathrobe and slippers was a nice touch.nMaybe a 2 minute walk to the market square and shopping.
We have been going to The County for food a few times in the past month or so as we've been in the area for family reasons.nYou couldn't ask for a better warm welcome.nThe staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful.nThe food is first class, plenty of choice on the menu, the dining room or bar area's are immaculate. Definitely worth a visit.
