Does this store exist, spent half an hour walking round looking for it, nearest I got was on Google maps which directed me to Home Bargains!
I went to the Nottingham store Friday night after ordering on click and collect I had to wait 25 minutes for 3 small items would have been quicker to walk around the store and get them myself. I also had to use the toilets while there and they absolutely stunk of urine worst toilets ever. Also most of the staff look they have just finished school and don't have a clue what their doing or where anything is, they seriously need a big overall at this store of the whole Customer experience.
I rarely come to this place - the main deterrent being the prices. But if you are a savvy shopper, this place is okay.. The product range is immense; and if you 1 know your prices, 2 are flexible on what you want to buy, and 3 time your visit for an off peak day/ season, you'd be pleasantly surprised on what you can pick up... within a reasonable margin.
Me and my husband visited here on the day of our 20 weeks scan and bought the cot and travel system for our little boy, we only went in to browse! Absolutely fantastic service, they answered all of our little questions and even tested the car seat we were thinking about purchasing in our car, there and then to make sure it was suitable! Highly recommend and cant wait to go Xmas shopping there : x
To say these guys have been dealt some pretty devastating news in the last few days, their customer service, helpfulness and smiles were as good as ever, if not better. Mark & Joe in particular provided me with great service. If I knew my job was on the line, I am not sure how professional I could be, but these guys did not let their reputation slip. Well Done to you all and I wish you all the very best!!
An updated review: Before the company went bust, the car park was nearly always empty and in-store was like a ghost town. Now that its closing down, it's been the busiest I've seen it in years. The reason? Everything is on sale. Now if the prices hadn't been sky-high in the first place, the company wouldn't have gone down the toilet. I've also noticed that the staff are now very friendly and do anything to help the final customers. Once again, maybe if they had shown more interest in their customers, and NOT had people following specific customers around the shop, things might have been different. And after shopping around, there are still other shops that have the same items, cheaper, even than the "marked down" price. Just makes me wonder what will happen to all the products that don't manage to get sold before the shop finally closes for the final time.
Worst customer experience I have every had. If your thinking of buying your child's bike or anything else for that matter from toys r us please think again. I have just had the worst retail experience ever, thanks to the manager at the queens drive store Nottingham. I will not buy again from toys r us. I have lost all faith in the customer service due to the manager of this store been totally vial and unhelpful in regards to my 3 year olds faulty bike.
The kids love it but my wallet not so much. It's great that it is so big but children will spend hours in there if you let them. They need a coffee shop on the premises. Parking is great
i personally have never had a bad experience in toys r us besides when i was a kid and was messing around on the bikes so it was a shock to hear its gone now. my store in Nottingham was always decent; kind staff ect... but since walking through on the sale i can see why this was gonna happen at some point. they have been pretty slow to accept kids dont really care about toys compared to games. almost every gaming item was gone but the whole store was stuffed with undesirable toys. guess i wont be buying my pokemon games from their anymore.
A good selection of kids stuff for all ages and reasonably priced. Near the checkout it is rather untidy. If you spend over £100+ you get a voucher which you can't use on the day, and if you have travelled a distance, you have to go back to the store
