Avoid at all costs bought a caravan for £25,000 and 12 months later it wasn’t even worth £5,000 said that’s all it was worth how a caravan can loose £20,000 in value in 12 months is absolutely ridiculous. They say they will rent your van out for a fee but the women Maxine avoids you like the plague when it’s time to do it. Worst caravan site there possibly could be AVOID AVOID AVOID
Dirty scruffy camp. Staff useless not very helpful. I would not come back if it was a free holiday. The worse Lyons camp I have seen. If you are looking for a nice holiday then don't come here. Look at Lyons other camps.
Great location, close to pubs, takeaways and a supermarket. Only 20 minute walk into Rhyl. Our son loved the arcade on site, making some friends. The one thing that let it down was the caravans seemed a lot closer to each other than other sites we've been on, we could hear every thud and bang when kids were running up and down neighbouring caravans!
Had a short stay recently. Not much in the way of entertainment at the sports bar. Didnt realise there was a 2 night Halloween party happening while we where there, therfore not allowed to use the site entertainment area as ticket only. Great Caravan, nice and compact and met our needs while we stayed. Will say, the 1 night we could go in, the kids entertainers needed to smile more, seemed to just want to hurry up and get off the stage, made no real attempt to engage with the kiddies on the dance floor. Had 2 backing dancers kids who made more of an effort as they tried there god loving best to move in sync. Caberet singers, nah not my thing. See what happens IF we return to Lyons Wyncubs in the future.
Me and my family have came here for a week. The shop is basic but has the essentials. There is plenty to keep you children entertained. Between the serval novelty shops close beach 2 fairs and close bus stops, there is enough to get you by. The cost is pretty reasonable given a campsite. I will definitely be returning. Xx
We have been going to Winkups for past 6 years lovely site with good entertainment suitable for all ages. The only downside to the excellent play park is teenagers bullying youngsters Security needs to patrol the park.
Overall not to bad we had a nice caravan unfortunately we also had a big hole in the lawn driveway which made it very difficult to get in and out we found the chip shop very expensive so only used it once but what was really good was the fact that it was opposite the the big open Market. Dog-friendliness: We didn't take our dog but we did find out afterwards that you could for a small fee.
Lovely holiday, the caravan was great, as I'm in wheelchair the van was great, full wet room, with lots of space for my wheelchair, plus other little extras like sliding doors, and higher toilet, with easy to get to sink. The over all caravan was great and made the holiday that much more relaxing. On top of all that the staff were amazing and couldn't help enough if we did need anything. I was so pleased that I rebooked for next year and because I paid the small deposit of £50 I got it a lot cheaper than if I had waited and done it when I got home, as it was 30% off. This site its self was great as well, my kids loved the swimming pool, and even had a lot of fun in the arcades. Then there is the night-time entertainment great for younger kids mine are teens plus bingo and and adult singer later on for adults. Plus with the fair being straight across the road, there was lots to keep them busy for the week. The Chip shop was great, plus there is supermarkets not to far so you can also get other food with ease.
Lovely New Year caravan clean warm some problems with water on arrival owner offered full refund but resolved quickly no problem.
Lovely caravan and plenty for the children to do lots of good entertainment Nearby activities: Well situated for the beach funfair and great market
