We stayed in the national trust holiday tower for my birthday weekend. We had a lovely time . The tower is so interesting. So much history. National trust staff always do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible and the  Tower was spotless.Beautiful little court yard outside to sit in the warm evening and eat and enjoy a glass of what ever you drink. We had such a wonderful weekend there. The town of Shrewsbury is really nice. Nice restaurants and pubs all within walking distance from the Tower. We always stay in national trust holiday cottages as the money we pay goes to helping to keep these beautiful old buildings alive for us all to enjoy. The Tower has been the best so far and we plan to return as we also like the town.

I would recommend the guided tours on the weekends of the year when they run.  Informative and freindly quides will show you around the building.
