We are a very friendly, caring school with strong parental support, whose aim is to offer outstanding education and a very varied range of opportunities and experiences for our pupils.
We are a happy and friendly school community providing a broad curriculum for 4 to 11 year olds.
We offer all children a wealth of opportunity to reach their potential in key skills and extra curricular activties, giving them confidence and choices for the future.
Our curriculum is planned with the children and provides opportunities to learn outside of the classroom. Our topics start with a 'Wow' day to spark interest and enthusiasm. Home learning projects add further experiences for the children to learn with their parents; carrying out an activity that suits everyone's skills and interests. Our work is displayed in classrooms and in our exhibition area near the entrance hall.
Our Key Stage 2 building has a 'Learning Resource Centre' for use during lesson and lunchtimes and our Key Stage 1 building has its own library. The children have access to computers and Kindles to support them with their learning as well as hundreds of books to choose from.
Our school grounds have become an extensive outdoor learning environment; we have an outdoor classroom, two allotment areas, a tree fort, amphitheatre, woodland walk, nature garden with pond and bird cam nesting box and, of course, our resident chickens. As well as lots of space for sports and play. Recently we took ownership of a double decker bus which has become an outdoor learning centre for reading, writing, science and DT. Forest Schools is a large part of the school and a new outdoor classroom has been purchased for this purpose.
We have extensive links with schools in other countries and run two exchanges each year to Germany and Spain, along with other residential visits.
All staff work hard to ensure all of our children have extensive learning opportunities; in and out of the classroom, during and after school and in and out of Towcester.
