The changing rooms are clean and spacious, there's pools and saunas and plenty of equipment in the gym but the parking wasn't great. If you go when it's busy you may struggle to park but there is an underground car park as well as the one at surface level. There's not kuchen floor space in the gym for stretching, freestyle work outs, yoga etc. But I got on all the machines I wanted when I went.
Lady on front desk wasn't exactly welcoming .... Some good staff here though, Joe on sales is a top lad! Equipment is OK, but for the price, we'll I cant believe they are charging David lloyds money for maybe a quarter of the offering... Not for me...
For some time now, the water in the main swimming pool has become a lot colder than it use to be. After a 12 length swim we are really cold people shouldn't be feeling that cold at that point when swimming.We are not the only ones either, some people don't even bother getting in the pool because it's so cold. I know there's a cost of living crisis but as members we are all paying more so we expect the facilities to remain the same, if not even better. On a positive however, the staff are always polite and helpful and the women who clean at Whitefield are second to none - the place is always spotless.
Overpriced for what it is… only good thing is pool facility.. membership team don’t care about anything apart from taking direct debits and don’t accommodate very well. Feels very business driven and not welcoming like a gym should be spending 7-10 hours a week there.
My daughter swims here . Lovely place. Young blonde girl helped me cut a padlock off my locker and get my bag lovely friendly staff member from cafe .
Absolutely horrible no hygiene no staff at correct times and also always something broken etc steam room sauna or hydro pool always out of action total fitness whitefield is the worst gym out of all of them the rest of them are good to go to
I was member of Total Fitness it Whitefield over a year. On Saturday 24.09.2022 I came to cancel my and my wife’s membership, because I couldn’t do it in the app. Spoke with a white male in his 40s in the office section. He couldn’t cancel it in his system, tried to call head office, apparently it was closed, took my number promised to call me on the following Monday. Didn’t call. On Saturday 01.10.2022 I noticed that Total Fitness taken money from my account without authorisation, came to Total Fitness in Whitefield to speak with staff to find out why my memberships are still active. Spoke with young lady named Roxane, asked her to speak with manager of the gym to help me out, manager Zoe wasn’t in the gym. Asked for email address to complaint and Zoe’s surname Roxane didn’t know it. Summary: Can’t be bother attitude is all over this gym, all is good until you need them to do some work. I am disappointed with the service and unprofessional attitude.
Great atmosphere, excellent equipment and great service from the staff will be visiting regularly lol.
I did my dancing course here a lovely fitness centre the staff are really polite and I loved to see mums having a good workout where their babies was getting plenty of exercising crawling around a brilliant idea. Unfortunately I didn't have time to use the facilities as the Lifetime training company gave us an intense course so there wasnt anytime to do anything else. I would of loved to of tried out the Jacuzzi and the gym is huge. If I lived close enough I would of took up membership at this fitness centre.
I've been a member of this gym since 2016. I love the spin classes and the spin room. The spin class teachers are ace! I've taken advantage of the PT offer just before the pandemic which was really worth it to learn how to use the equipment and use your posture correctly. The facilities are brilliant in the gym. I love the sauna in the female changing rooms. I agree that the plunge pool has been broke for over 2 years and it's really needed after the sauna/steam room use. The place is really clean and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Food and smoothies are good. I don't think it's as family friendly since the revamp. I really liked using the ground floor area whilst my daughter hung out and it doesn't seem to be a family area anymore? Having said that, some class instructors have allowed my daughter to sit at the side whilst I work out. I think overall the gym could be more inclusive for families, parents who struggle for child care and want to work out. The revamp is nice but the new large equipment where the running machines and cross trainers are is just too hot! There's not enough ventilation in the whole gym really and it gets hot quick.
