I started training with Rick when I was about 12/13. I was a timid teenager who was made to feel welcome instantly. 

Looking back on my years with Phoenix I can say that they have had a positive impact both inside and outside the gym. 

Other reviews here have touched on the atmosphere at the gym and I can do no more to express how awesome it is in words. However, I'll leave you with this:

If you're even slightly curious about Phoenix Muai Thai you owe it to yourself to try it once; then you'll be hooked.

Great gym and fantastic family feel. After poor experiences at another gym, the guys at phoenix made me feel welcome from day one and deciding to train here has been one of the best decisions I have made in recent years

When I first started at Phoenix muay Thai I didn't know what to expect.  The people were nice and I never stopped laughing as they made me feel welcome. The lessons are great and you learn alot being there, it's not easy but it's alot of fun and keeps you fit too. Rick is amazing as he has a great sense of humour but is also strict when it comes to focusing on what he is teaching us making sure we try and get the moves right and how to protect ourselves. If your looking for a somewhere to learn Thai boxing, Phoenix is the place to go.

Phoenix is an excellent gym, great atmosphere , with a real family feel, 
Rick is an supurb teacher , his top class skills  & his love for Muay Thai, coupled with his enthusiasm and friendly personality , rank him as one of the best Muay Thai clubs around.
