Visited on a day pass keen to join. You have got 3 hours free car park which is perfect. Changing space was nice and clean and all hair dryers work perfectly! The gym is nicely designed for even busy hours and I liked it. Great facilities and nice and quiet pool overall but I wish the temperature in the steam room was higher. Helpful staff and the last thing for me to share is the cafe, it’s nice but I didn’t have any drinks in there because there was no menu on the tables.
World Class Service which I didn’t expect and was totally impressed with!nI had cause to raise a concern following two telephone conversations and I couldn’t have been more supported and helpful by the male member on reception.nHe quickly understood my concern and without hesitation resolved the situationnWhat I was most impressed by was how understanding he was, I felt totally comfortable and left knowing I’ll remain a member for many years to comenThis type of genuine compassion is rare in these days of robotic communicationsnA human empathetic response makes the world of differencenI couldn’t be more grateful and thankful
I joined Total Fitness in November 2022 and was introduced to Shay Trainor, a highly experienced personal trainer and physiotherapist.nMy weekly personal training sessions with Shay began in January 2023 and within only a few weeks I was free of pain, caused by arthritis, in my left knee.nDuring subsequent sessions with Shay and with his supervision I began to use gym equipment to build muscle and strengthen limbs. In recent months Shay has also helped me with a pulled hamstring and bursitis. He always takes time to explain how and why the exercises will help and I am now doing simple exercises at home in addition to my gym sessions.nSince working with Shay my balance has greatly improved and I have become much fitter and stronger.nShay's extensive knowledge and experience enables him to accurately assess his client's needs.nHe is a good listener, he is willing to demonstrate the exercises and encourages and motivates each person to achieve their full potential.nI now look forward to my training sessions and highly recommend Shay to anyone, regardless of age or ability, who wants to improve their level of fitness or mobility.nMy advice is speak to Shay, don't delay, do it today!nI also use the swimming pool at Total Fitness and I have found the staff helpful and the facilities to be of a good standard.nLynn Taylor.
Joined the altrincham gym yesterday. The gym facilities are brilliant the equipment is again brilliant, the staff are really helpful. I cannot fault the gym itself. But the App well, who ever designed it needs to go on a course on how to design an app. Or look at pure gym or the gym groups app. It's terrible locks you out. Cannot book classes cannot do anything. The only thing this app does is take up space on your phone. I would of give 5 stars but the app let's Total Fitness as a company down
I joined Total fitness in Altrincham 3 years ago with some health issues, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, just had my shoulder reconstructed and waiting for a knee operation. The bonus of joining the gym was meeting and working with Shay Traynor who worked on my core, I dropped about 3.5 stone reversed the diabetes and dropped the blood pressure to normal levels. He also trained me for my knee operation, I know go figure that one out! I only needed one of the post op physio sessions and was back on my feet and in the gym again doing light work in 3 weeks! So a great gym and a real diamond in Shay!
