Staff seem to abuse authority and seem to exempt from the law , they are rude and abusive and they seem to always give one without the other and definitely waist funding on the unlawful people on purpose, from my experience all new staff and down to earth people are needed for the roles that have been filled by discriminate people . And provide a very disruptive service to the majority of good people and seem to have really bad connections within society they seem desperate to tell you your less of a human being and seems to give them a reason to wake up and be rude and disruptive. The complaints procedure isn't quick or effective as people have busy life's and haven't got months to be heard and years to go to court and have a right to privacy when it comes to the news I guarantee the whole community should be able to pole and we will see who agrees as I've never had people say I was wrong apart from a staff member of the council me and my colleagues talk about it all the time . We haven't even got time to riot as a lot of people have many priorities but they seem to only have one and that's themselves. WHAT MAKES THESE PEOPLE CREDIBLE as I've never seen them speak the truth but there council worker status seems to give them the right to lie and your truths get swept under the carpet as lies . All councils if today try to take straight people's kids and PAY gay / lesbian people to take them this isn't right at all it's so absurd and politically wrong and unjustified.
If there was an option for 0 I would have hit that instead. 5 generations of family and not one good word about this council my whole life. They target the vulnerable and make it unbearably hard to contact and sort situations out. Good hard working citizens are suffering the most here. The prices are ridiculous especially parking, in comparison south harms much cheaper. But they'll never be for the people of the Bay just the standard greed like most the others.
Useless. I want to change my council tax payments from 10 months to 12 months. Can't do this online. Sent a letter, no response. Phoned; eventually put in a queue and the phone call was disconnected after enduring 20 minutes of annoying "jolly" elevator musak. What has happened to customer service?
Awful council. I have lived in so many countries, and so many counties of England, and this is by far the worst! Endless waiting times on calls. Months of the waiting to deal with council tax updates. Unprofessional behaviour on the phone. And look at the state of some of the areas around the Bay - what on earth is the council tax being spent on?!
Be cautious when making a complaint about the recycling truck driving along the verg it would appear the person who deals with the complaints is as intelligent as the drivers they come back the following week and do a proper job of it hilarious As they say you cant teach stupid It just comes naturally to some Cleary all employed by torbay council
UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR Council tax arrears bills sent out despite it being challenged for over 8weeks. Continues to send reminder’s despite it being challenged. Next letter court order. Formal complaints raised - not dealt with the correct professional manner. Torbay Council accused myself of lying. Phoned tax department stating they haven’t received some documents. Then called me back saying that they have found the documents. Another phone call to the council tax department- challenged again. Stated that ‘it’s Torbay council error and will not send anymore arrears letters property was never in arrears’. Unnecessary stress. Bullying and threatening letters of outstanding bills despite no bills being itemised. Makes me question why I pay council tax in the first place. Streets and bin collections are managed poorly. Torbay crime rates appears to be increasing. Torbay Council needs to be investigated on how they professionally act and spend the council money.
Absolutely disgusting the way the council treats it residents, they have the nerve to issue fines/tickets on the spot an expect you to pay instantly. but when you appeal it with a valid reason they have no consideration for you. The roads are disgusting and have pot holes everywhere an do nothing to repair the roads/line markings. What an absolute joke they are..
Why the hell cut down those palm trees?! Again just like other councils you act first without telling residents so they can't argue the case to have kept them!! I have visited from Newbury Berkshire many times and those palm trees were beautiful WELL DONE FOR DESTROYING A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN. I SHALL HAVE TO RE THINK VISITING NOW DUE TO YOUR WILL FULL DESTRUCTION OF THOSE TREES!!
Council are money grabbing idiots won’t be returning again I come once or twice a year with my fianace for a week and after parking my van in the car park paying £9.50 for 4 hours and 22 minutes I have now been fined £50 for my van exceeding the parking space I have a vivaro it’s a large wheel base so it slightly sticks out not so much it’s an obstruction as cars could move round me with eased as I parked on the end of the row but this inconsiderate town doesn’t care about people visiting doubt it cares for the people living here won’t be returning in the future Weymouth is much nicer DO NOT GO TO TORBAY
I was late paying one month in May as didnt realise i had no direct debit set up they then charged me the whole year and £80 for the late payment so when i moved out in december they owed me money 3 months later i still have not received this, it is discussing, that they can hang on to our money and have no consequences
