Took my team for their Christmas meal. Was a fab mixture of old and new decor and architecture. Service was great despite a couple of tiny slip ups by the trainee Food was fab. Music and ambience just right. Was recommended by two if the team, will definitely be back Service: 5/5
My wife and I came for a meal at the restaurant and weren't disappointed. We started with the prawn and salmon and the sweet potato, coconut and chilli soup. Mains were potato gnocchi and venison, and desserts were banana frozen parfait and sticky toffee pudding. Six clean plates tells you all you need to know about how tasty it all was. Service was excellent - attentive and quick. We'll be back and would recommend it to anyone in the area
A delightful find. Making a delivery from Gloucestershire to Aberdeen, I broke my journey here on the return trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming without being obsequious, my room was small but immaculate, and dinner was delicious. There is also an excellent selection of single malts at the bar, in which I confess I over-indulged slightly. Highly recommended.
Room was lovely and staff were really lovely and helpful. It’s located not far from the town and not too far from Aberdeen. Breakfast was lovely and staff serving were lovely. Will definitely be back. Well done Tor-na-coille. Just back from another night and again it was fantastic.Rooms: 5/5
24/02/23 - my wife and I had a lovely lunch today at the Tor Na Coille Hotel in Banchory. Beautiful Scottish Hotel standing high in its gardens. We had Starters of Nut Crusted Goats Cheese V GF chilli jam, apple salad, walnut and Smoked Haddock & Leek Chowder , really tasty, we would have both starters over and over again. Followed by Fish Pie cheddar mash, buttered greens and Roast Monkfish GFsmoked fish, herb & potato stew, wilted spinach. Again perfect. Well done chef's and lovely service from the girls. Its a hidden gem and first class food. See you again - Neil and Oksana
We went for lunch with our 2 grandchildren and were chuffed that we did. Everybody enjoyed the food it was very good indeed as was the service. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, forgot to mention the decor and furnishings are splendid. We will most certainly be back as can't wait to taste the dinner menu, the chef's here have excellent ratings.

Room was fine,dusty and areas dirty but as with water due to age of building. Service fine a bit pushy with times but other wise excellent knowledge Noteworthy details: No working lifts . A wee bit of a spruce up would bring it back up.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Hotel is very stylish, clean and comfortable with a huge comfortable bed and lots of space especially in the bathroom. Food was delicious, we had dinner and breakfast here and all food was very tasty. Service was awesome as well, everyone was very professional but also friendly, we were made to feel welcome. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent in all ways, staff are considerate, polite and attentive, food is amazing, rooms are lovely, the place oozes character and the area is charming. As perfect a hotel as you could wish for.Rooms: 5/5
