Awful agency avoid at all costs, mice in kitchen, cockroaches, slugs in bedroom, mould under every window, heating broke twice and there was no urgency to getting that fixed from top property. The houses are so run down and they won’t ever do anything to fix the actual issues they’ll just paint over mould and damp and call it a day, just go for a different agency because this one is awful.
The houses are so ran down if students are looking for places to live I suggest going through your own university team accomdation so that if there are issues your university can handle on your part rather than dealing with top property who continuously shows that they are bad with no signs of improvements. So much so I had to chase up for them to fix the roof when it fell through. Response to top property: has it occured to you just to be better and be contactable. Also you didn't receive any negative feedback because it was fix by putting up some drywall however after it fell through it it didn't exactly fill me with confidence of the room not falling through again. Put short term fixes for long terms problems aren't gonna help people living there
Do not sign with, my fellow 3 housemates have tried to contact several times about getting deposit back! They charged fees that where completely made up and some ridiculous aka ‘crumbs in toaster’ never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life, We had an ant infestation which they failed to respond to for the first 2-3weeks we had contacted about, not to mention 3 mice in the property which they also struggled to resolve but yet we are the ones getting money taken of us. Communication is terrible never know. Anything like it. Still haven’t responded about deposit.
Would leave 0 stars if I could!! Avoid them at all costs!! House was invested with mice when we moved in, we had mice and rats issues all year through, we tried everything to get rid of them but nothing ever worked there were so so many of them. They got maintenance to come out and put rat poison down which we already did, after that we still had mice. We actually had to find an alternative place to live in March because we couldn’t cope anymore it was disgusting, house wasn’t even clean when we moved in. The replies from top property are shocking to say the least. The amount of maintenance issues in the house when we moved in we’re a joke, I could write about many, the pipe underneath the sink was broken which resulted in us having a flooded kitchen when we wanted to use the kitchen sink we emailed about getting this fixed and it was like this for the whole year. They kept our deposits and never returned them, we got told in the office after last rent payment we will get our deposits back, we never received them and got every excuse as to why we can’t get them back. They tried to charge us as they needed to paint the walls, the walls before we moved in we’re disgusting and we’re already filthy I have photos and I emailed it all to them. If you go with this company take photos and videos of EVERYTHING. Do NOT waste your money living in their dumps, worst decision I ever made.
Avoid at all costs. Take advantage of young people. Terrible letting agency. Made it difficult to get any issues fixed. First month living in one of their properties we had no hot water, with no compensation. Full of mould, told to just wipe it away. Would turn up without notice and do work we were unaware of. Have taken the entirety of our deposit and have demanded we pay extra on top of this. Seems like they reply to every comment telling people the experiences they’ve had with this company aren’t true, they’re the worst landlords I’ve ever dealt with. Couldn’t wait to move out of the house.

Hello everyone, beware of top property , they are mannerless team I every saw in my life. I have booked two times appointment for viewing the house . Every time before the schedule I have called and enquired about fixed appointments , they have said, they sent text message about cancelled the appointment, but ironically I didn’t received any intimation or message, when I asked why it was happened two times, they don’t have answer and just disconnected the call. They are ridiculous behaviours and no politeness towards customers. I just wonder the office lead by whom no dignity towards any thing. Poor management, team please check your call recordings. How you are treating your customer. Never call this agency. Shameless people. Never book any appointments or any leggings
From my experience with this letting agency all I would say is AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. When we picked up the keys the house was not to the standard that we where promised such as alarm on the wall was duct taped back together, mold all over the house which was painted over, no toaster for around 6 months of tenancy, the list goes on. When we tried to contact the agency about different issues we could never speak to someone who was in charge and the people we did speak to where really unhelpful, in other words communication from them was disgraceful. Regarding deposits they never gave us our deposits back due to ridiculous charges that where nothing to do with damages as there was none but charges that involved the house in general like water and boiler issues. After the tenancy had ended we felt as though they took advantage of us as students.
Brilliant, accommodating and helpful are the last 3 words I’d use to describe this landlord. Can’t seem to fix anything and don’t seem to concerned about it either. Room has been leaking 90% of the time I’ve lived here and now black mould has developed meaning I can’t breathe or sleep. Genuinely couldn’t of asked for a worse living experience feels like I’m in a nightmare. Would avoid using these at all costs. One week later nothing has still been done and it just gets worse. I am reiterating my previous point of do not sign with these at any cost, they will find a way to make your life miserable and still somehow blame it on you. Disgraceful.
Avoid this agency at all costs! Exactly same issues as other comments on here. The house was in a terrible state when the girls moved in, dirty everywhere, cracked tv, snail trails over the carpet, broken bath, damp and mould like you wouldn’t believe, bottles of urine in the back yard, the list goes on! We had to deep clean it before they moved in. All issues reported time and time again but customer service and communication from Top Property is terrible, non-existent! Now been out the house for 3 months and they are now charging over £500 extra charges and deposits have not been returned. On checkout the house was left in better condition than when they moved in. Do not use, they they take advantage of students! New comment in response to Top Properties comment: Daughter was the tenant hence my review. Funny how you can reply to comments on here but not reply to emails!
